Immortal

Sydney Grace Immortal Pressed Pigment Shadow ($6.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a pale, barely-there pinky mauve with subtle, warm undertones and a metallic sheen that had a subtle shift from pink to gold. It had a soft, blendable texture that wasn’t too firmly nor too softly pressed in the pan but felt a little less dense compared to other shades in the same formula. It applied evenly to my lid and blended out easily. It stayed on nicely for eight hours on me before fading a bit.

Formula Overview

$6.00/0.06 oz. - $100.00 Per Ounce

The shimmer eyeshadows are more consistent in pigmentation with the majority of shades having opaque color coverage. The more metallic/sparkly the shade is, the creamier and more emollient the eyeshadow felt in the pan, which often yielded really smooth application and good adherence to the lid, though a few worked better with a fingertip or a dampened brush for true-to-pan color or to get a truer finish/sheen.

Most shades, however, worked well with brushes, and I didn't have trouble applying or blending out most of the shimmer shades. The more satin to pearl like finishes tend to feel a little thinner but blend out well. These shades wore between eight and nine hours on me with some of the more foiled-like shades creasing noticeably at the end (and the less foiled-like ones fading).

Dive

Sydney Grace Dive Pressed Pigment Shadow ($6.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a medium teal with cooler undertones and warmer, golden shimmer (which gave it a “warmer” look overall). The texture was dense, lightly creamy, but fairly smooth and blendable on my lid, though it applied best with pressing and patting motions over sweeping. It wore well for eight and a half hours on me before creasing faintly.

Always Yours

Sydney Grace Always Yours Pressed Pigment Shadow ($6.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a brighter, medium pink with subtle, warm undertones and a frosted sheen. It had nearly opaque pigmentation a smooth, denser consistency that was slightly firm in the pan and needed a heavier hand to pick up product evenly. The eyeshadow went on evenly and blended out without much work, but it was better applied in two layers due to the density/stiffness. It wore well for eight hours on me.

Milk and Cookies

Sydney Grace Milk and Cookies Matte Shadow ($5.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a pale beige with very subtle, warm undertones and a strong, satiny sheen. It had good color coverage, which was buildable to full coverage with a second layer. The texture was soft, a smidgen dusty in the pan, but blendable and easy enough to work with. It lasted well for eight hours on me before it started to show signs of fading.

FURTHER READING: Formula Overview for details on general performance and characteristics (like scent).

Formula Overview

$5.00/0.06 oz. - $83.33 Per Ounce

The matte eyeshadows tend to be pigmented (typically semi-opaque or opaque, often buildable if they aren't opaque) with a soft, more velvety texture that has slight slip but isn't so thick that it gets difficult to use, applies unevenly, or has a lot of fallout. I've found that most of the matte eyeshadows apply and blend out without much effort but a few may take a bit more effort to diffuse along the edges. The matte formula tends to wear between eight and eight and a half hours on me.

SG really resonates with me, and I love what I have scored so far. So glad I got some, before my ‘no new brands’ for the NY. Your features will prevent me from being overduped, and i’ll be able to stick to ‘no net gain’ as well. What you do is so valuable to me, and all of us. Grand look.

LOVE this look! ?&? perfection!
My personal favorite shades above are Winter Garden, Immortal, and oddly, Milk & Cookies. Also loving As If, but I’m pretty sure I have good dupes for that one.

Winter Garden is already on my wishlist, happy to see it got a good review! Dive is also GORGEOUS but it is not really a color I’d normally wear.

So, so stunning and so, so affordable too. What a great brand, with these gorgeous eyeshadows and you Christine to show us how they can be applied.

Several of these are stunning. I am on a no-buy and that is a good thing or I would be scooping several of these up. I really like Dive for some reason and it isn’t my usual choice of colour as it appears a little icy and without a really deep pigment but I do like it. I am wondering if one of the shades in the UD Born To Run palette is similar. Something about it is making me think UD. I will have to go get my palette when I get home and check it out!!

I am enjoying the look and these shadows keep getting impressive ratings! I definitely am interested in the purples but also Immortal… I actually wish it was a bit more pink but I think it may serve well for contrast. Thanks!

Never heard of this brand. Went to the web site. Very impressed. A handful of their lovelies are just my thing. Surprise, surprise! Nice price. Who knew? Nice. Will indulge. No question.

I really like all of these. All of them!
They are on my wish list for later when I can be a bit less strict with the very low buy rule I’ve set for myself.

I’m loving your eye look! These shadows are all so pretty, and just the kind of colors I’m into. More for the wish list, and there will be a SG haul in my future.
