Rare Beauty Swatches: Lip Souffles & Lip Balms (Part 2 of 2)
Next up, let’s look at swatches of Rare Beauty lip products! First up, Rare Beauty Lip Souffle ($20.00 for 0.13 fl. oz.), which is an “air-whipped lip cream” that is supposed to have “rich color” and “nourishing hdyrating” with a “soft velvety matte finish.” It is available in 12 shades, which are all swatched in this post.
There are eight shades of Rare Beauty With Gratitude Dewy Lip Balm($16.00 for 0.10 oz.) with one being clear, which I didn’t purchase, but I have swatches of the other seven for you! The lip balm is supposed to have buildable, “sheer color and soft shine” with “hydration that lasts all day.” (I’ll point out the obvious, which is that they’re more medium coverage than sheer, even in one layer.)
The Lip Souffle Matte Lip Creams kinda look like what MAC’s Powder Kiss Liquid Lipsticks should’ve been…
I agree with you ?, Helena! Yes, these are what those should’ve been.
Love the colors in this collection!
Thanks so much for the swatches of the lip products, I’ve been dithering over which one to buy and this really help solidify my choices.
I really like Ascend & Heroic. Are these similar to the MAC Matte Lip Mousse? I love that matte liquid lip formula and I’m be excited if more companies in the US use it.
Definitely in that vein! 🙂
That’s wonderful! Thank you!
Oh no!!! I love absolutely EVERY lip balm shown! Especially Support and Empathy. These all look so comfortable and smooth.
The Lip Souffles also have several shades that have my attention: Heroic, Fearless, Brave and Inspire.
Dang it, I’ve stepped into Pandora’s box!
Thank you for the sneak peek, Christine! Your swatches go such a long way in helping me know how the products look applied.
I’ve been thinking about picking up a new Armani lip color for fall but now I’m tempted to try a soufflé matte for about half the price, possibly Fearless. I like almost every color in this release in both the matte and dewy balm formulas.
Definitely worth a shot! Not as thick or as emollient as Lip Maestro, but these are lighter-weight and thinner, so they have more of that “worn down” feeling that Lip Maestros eventually get to (after enough talking, eating, or drinking) faster. We’ll see on wear and comfort, though!
These are quite pretty! I hope at some point they consider releasing some of these as trios – I wouldn’t mind giving them as gifts to friends. Sadly all of my lipstick budget has gone to Propa Beauty and in anticipation of Lisa Eldridge’s October launch, but I really like that there’s a nice variation in colors & tones for the Lip Souffle in particular.
The lip balms look promising!
Wow, nice pigmentation! I’m not much in need of any more lip products, but good to know if I need a balm or the soufflĂ© lippies.
The Thankful lip balm is really lovely. Might have to pick one up after your review.
I bought inspire and brave. Brave is a beautiful color. Feels really nice and comfortable. Similar to Anastasia liquid lipsticks. Wish the color was more pigmented though. Wanted to get Armani new lipsticks but will wait for a sale as these were at half price
The lip souffles seem really interesting! I’d be interested to know how they compare to the Em Cosmetics Infinite Lip Clouds.
Sorry, that’s not a brand I cover!
Fair enough! It was more of a statement of curiosity than a request of you. I’m sure someone will compare them eventually!
I have a couple of the EM Lip Clouds and they are similar to the MAC Matte Lip Mousse. Christine said they are like the MAC ones, I’ll probably get one of these at some point to compare.
The packaging color is reminiscent of Fenty.
These look absolutely stunning! Even “daring” applied well. I hope these come to Australia very soon.
