Rare Beauty Appreciate With Gratitude Dewy Lip Balm ($16.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark purplish-taupe with neutral-to-cool undertones paired with a glossy, cream finish. I suspect this shade will look warmer and cooler depending on one's coloring, though. It applied a bit darker swatched than it did applied to my lips.
It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which was far more coverage than described, and it was pigmented to the point where it was hard to apply from the tube and get a sheerer result! The consistency was lightweight, balm-like--moderate slip but thinner, almost like a creamy gel--and comfortable to apply and to wear. It wore nicely for four hours and felt lightly hydrating over time.
