Editor's Review

Urban Decay Whip Vice Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.11 oz.) is described as a "soft pink with gold iridescent shimmer [with a Sheer Shimmer finish]." It's a sheer, frosted gold with a lightly glossy sheen. These types of sheerer, mostly gold-shimmer shades tend to look alike on the lips (even when they seem lighter/darker). I don't know why this isn't listed as a Sheer, so it ended up rating lower than you might expect On the press release, it was listed as a Metallized shade, but it is officially a Sheer Shimmer per reader Kate and confirmed via Sephora's website. The texture was thin with a balm-like feel, and it lasted for two hours on me. Chanel Beige Dore (126) (LE, $37.00) is less glossy (95% similar). Urban Decay Trick (DC, $18.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Beatrice (LE, $36.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). MAC Ruffian Gold (LE, $19.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). Bite Beauty Rose Gold (LE, $26.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Lisa (LE, $36.00) is more pigmented, less glossy (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty David (DC, $36.00) is more shimmery, less glossy (90% similar). MAC Live Long and Prosper (LE, $19.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Edita (LE, $36.00) is cooler (90% similar). MAC Spoiled Fabulous (P, $19.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). NARS Redemption (LE, $29.00) is more shimmery, less glossy (90% similar). MAC Gel (P, $19.00) is more shimmery, darker, less glossy (90% similar). MAC You've Got It (LE, $19.00) is less glossy (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Private Life (01) (LE, $53.00) is more shimmery (85% similar). Tom Ford Beauty William (LE, $36.00) is darker, warmer (85% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Natalia (LE, $36.00) is darker, warmer (85% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Solar Gold (LE, $49.00) is warmer (90% similar). Guerlain Yellow It-stick (603) (DC, $37.00) is lighter (85% similar). Maybelline White Gold (P, $7.49) is more shimmery, more pigmented, cooler (85% similar). Guerlain #777 (P, $33.00) is more shimmery, more pigmented (85% similar). Top 20 dupes listed, see the rest. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

I am not sure if I got a dud, but I can't get any pigmentation out of this lipstick. The formula feels even drier due to the flakiness of the glitter. Hard pass.
