Urban Decay Junkie is a limited edition lip palette that retails for $35.00 and contains 0.24 oz.

Editor's Review

Urban Decay Junkie Vice Lipstick Palette ($35.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a limited edition palette that includes 12-pans of lipstick with all shades from the brand's permanent range of colors. There are two variations available, and between the two palettes, there are three shades that overlap--714, Big Bang, and Firebird. Junkie is slightly cooler in tone (particularly the second row) and includes a few less "traditional" shades. This palette is exclusive to Sephora and should launch sometime in September (I don't have an exact date).

When it comes to our creamy, addictive Vice Lipstick, too much is never enough. Urban Decay introduces Vice Lipstick Palette, available in two unique color ways. Indulge your vice with multiple finishes and a DOZEN shades from our massive collection—from neutral to bright, dark to light. Every shade applies smoothly (without dragging or skipping), hugs lips, and feels amazing. Wende got tired of lugging around a heavy bag loaded with all her favorite lipsticks. She took a poll at UDHQ to find out how many shades her employees had in their makeup bags, and some had as many as nine! Ever the problem solver, she created our Vice Lipstick Palettes. Ideal for travel (and loaded with a retractable lip brush), both of these super-sleek palettes were made for experimentation. Been toying with trying a new shade but weren’t ready to commit? With our Vice Lipstick Palettes, now you’ve got no excuse. Keep your options open without having to weigh down your makeup bag. Use the included brush to layer or mix shades; it’s ideal for contouring and creating added depth and dimension.

I bought this palette on sale as a way to try a variety of Urban Decay lipstick colors in different finishes to see if I would like this brand's lipstick formulas. As a beauty novice it allowed me to explore what types of lipsticks I prefer- comfort matte, matte, and cream. It also was a great way to try purples and berry tones, and nudes which can be difficult to judge whether they would look nice on my skin tone. It was a good investment for trying things outside my comfort zone without breaking the bank. The packaging is sturdy and I like the plastic divider. It would be a good product for people who want to experiment with different shades, but it is not practical for using as an every day lipstick since none of the colors last for an exceptionally long time. If you are a makeup artist who is looking for some more shades this might come in handy. The lipstick brush was good quality, but I don't enjoy applying lipstick with a brush. Overall, the shades are good to excellent- Junkie, and whip are the worst and I never could get studded to be fully opaque, but I enjoy using it as a topper. Safe Word, Carnal, Wrath, Disturbed, and Firebird are great and I will be purchasing them in a full size. If you own other urban decay lip palettes I would only buy this if you really love the colors unique to this palette since there are shades that are repeated from other palettes.

I was the one who accidentally gave it 2.5 stars. That was a boo boo, please ignore. I would buy again if available. Many lip palettes either have a narrow range of shades or have more colors than I know what to do with. I experimented with colors I wouldn't wear, let alone buy and was pleased. I am even glad for the shades that I didn't care for (Safe Word looks like I rubbed foundation on my lips; Vanity Kills looks like shades I wore in the eighties) because they can mix with the others.
