Editor's Review

The formula is supposed to go on "smoothly, stay soft and super-creamy for blending" before it "dries to a long-lasting finish that won't budge" with "intense" coverage. I'm a long-time fan and user of the formula--almost a decade now--and they're still a go-to. I keep a handful of formulas at my fingertips, and I have all of the shades from this range in a cup within reach.

It isn't the longest-wearing formula I've come across, but I find that it balances longevity with creaminess in application and ease of removal at the end. They also wear away "kindly," so while the line might get thinner, it doesn't drag or bleed toward my under eye area. They also wear away "kindly," so while the line might get thinner, it doesn't drag or bleed toward my under eye area. The formula has solid, long-wear at eight to 10 hours before fading, thinning, or having a bit of migration to the outer corner. The less shimmery shades tend to have the most visible movement, whereas the more shimmery shades tend to fade or thin.

The pigmentation varies a lot from shade to shade with more matte shades often having the most coverage in a single layer, followed by more metallic finishes. The more glittery the finish, the weaker the coverage and application were. Many of the shades in the range are buildable and apply with near-to or opaque coverage when applied in short, overlapping strokes. The majority are very comfortable to apply on the lower lash line or waterline.

They have a creamy, glide-on consistency as promised, and they can be smudged or blended out, so they are particularly useful for someone who likes a more diffused look for their eyeliner.

As someone who has had a lot of these eyeliners over time, I can attest to the fact that they do not dry out readily. Some of the shades I have that I don't use (because they're THAT old) are still creamy and glide-on when swatched.

Stash is an amazing dark khaki green with a slight gold shimmer, it goes on so smoothly and blends well on application but once it's dried it sticks! For me, green eyed and pale, it's a great alternative to brown eyeliner which always tends to make me look like I've been crying.

I'm sorry but I have tried every eyeliner that is a so called dupe of this eyeliner and none of them have measured up to Perversion. It is THE best pencil eyeliner I have found for the water line. I have repeatedly bought this eyeliner.

Loe this eyliner pencil. Budget friendly, creamy & long-lasting. Am disappointed about the many discontinued colors. Urban Decay's website still has many for sale. However, like the Temptalia review, I feel a hole exists in the violet with blue undertone range. Also, have been anxious to try binge to add a blue to my collection. Am older, and like a natural look, but like to play with color at times; mostly purples & greens. But purples w/too strong red undertones make my eye appear unaturally red. With eyes that change from green to blue, I find that purples & greens bring out my eye color in a nice way. Mildew & Ransom have worked well. I've also wanted to add Lust. It seems that most of my favorite colors will soon be gone.I know that MUFE has 11L, similar to Lust. I like MUFE,but not as creamy as the 24/7 colors.Does anyone have ideas that might let Urban Decay know their newly discontinued colors leave a hole in their line?

Lust is a mid-tone purple shade, from what I've seen it look pretty pigmented on other people but it hardly came through for me. Everytime I did put it on, it would fade after a few hours. Mine got dry and hard really fast. I'd stay away from this shade in particular, other UD eye liners seem better than this one.

I had just gotten my hair done (it was a pretty bright red shade) and I was at the mall wearing my date night dress for later that evening when a MUA at the UD counter stopped me asked to put some lipstick on me. I got suckered into buying the red lipstick, lipliner and eyeliner. I have so many great memories of using this eye liner, it's a beautiful warm brown with gold sparkles, perfect for brown eyes without looking harsh. Lasts forever and has just the right amount of emphasis on the eyes without overwhelming other key features. My only con is that this can get pretty malleable, too soft and crumbles sometimes, makes sharpening hard.

Beautiful color! Does help if you put down a primer or a paint pot to help make the color pop a bit more. The is a unique color and I'm not sure of another color that is similar from any of the lines. I'm not a big fan of UD eyeshadow but their liners are terrific!

I have this in Whiskey and it's pretty good. It doesn't last too long on my water line, but it lasts long on my upper lashline. It glides on so smooth. I love it.

Love, love, love this pencil. I bought this on a whim because I was getting tired of my basic black and brown liner, and I am so glad I did. It's creamy enough that I can swipe it on an angled eyeliner brush and put it on, but once it sets it's there for good!

LOVE this eyeliner! Such a unique shade- has a shimmery, iridescent finish! very smooth and creamy, which can almost be a downfall too, since it can be hard to do clean and tight lines. Great product for a fast makeup look- a swipe on and some mascara, and the eyes are good to go!

Personally, this goes best on my waterline/lower lash line. Worn alone on my lid, it tends to smudge and migrate to my tear duct/inner eye (but that is probably due to my eye shape where liquid liner wears best).

Definitely the creamiest eye pencil that I have ever owned. Had not thoughts of getting this in the first place but because I had to get the UD Grindhouse for my UD 24/7 Concealer, I decided to get this as well in order to justify the price for the sharpener. First of all I feel that it is a little overpriced at $19 - and this is only if I get it in the USA. It retails for much much more here in Singapore. The pencil is extremely creamy and does not tug at your lids AT ALL. Used this on my upper waterline and it lasted all day. Definitely a product I did not regret getting. Might just get it in more colours. I purchased it in the colour Sabbath which is a deep matte blue and it really appears as it is on the pencil.
