It had nearly opaque color payoff in one layer, which built up readily to full coverage with short, overlapping strokes on the lower lash line. The texture was smooth, velvety, and glided on comfortably as it didn't tug but still deposited even coverage that didn't get pushed around. It stayed on well for nine and a half hours before fading visibly.
