MAC Shamelessly Vain, Give Me Fever, Nine Lives Love Me Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Shamelessly Vain
MAC Shamelessly Vain Love Me Lipstick ($19.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark red-orange with warm undertones and a cream finish. The consistency felt lightly creamy, smooth without being too slippery, and comfortable to apply and to wear, though the product separated along my deeper lip lines and could have applied more evenly along the edges. It had opaque color payoff that stayed on well for five hours, while the formula felt lightly moisturizing over time.

Formula Overview
$23.00/0.1 oz. - $230.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have a "lighter-than-air texture" with "all-day moisturization" paired with "intense color and soft shine." They had semi-opaque to fully opaque color coverage in a single layer, and most of the shades applied evenly and smoothly to my lips without emphasizing lip texture or sinking noticeably into my lip lines.
The texture was very lightweight, lightly creamy without too much slip, yet there was a distinctive shine to the finish. The luminosity wore down within an hour or so of wear. The formula seemed like a cross between Amplified and Cremesheens, yet there was no tackiness, and the Love Me formula was much lighter and thinner (without being clingy). The wear has ranged from three to six hours and has been lightly to moderately hydrating. They had a sweet, vanilla scent (typical of the brand) but no discernible taste.

Give Me Fever
MAC Give Me Fever Love Me Lipstick ($19.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a brighter, medium red with subtle, cool undertones and a cream finish. It had rich pigmentation in a single pass, which adhered evenly and smoothly across my lips without tugging. The consistency was lightweight, creamy without being too emollient, and was a bit thicker than other shades in the range. It wore well for six hours, left a pinkish stain behind, and was lightly hydrating over time.
There were odd specks of black on the tube, and I thought I felt a bit of texture from them when I applied, though a third application didn’t seem to have any remaining. I don’t have any idea what they could be, and I noticed that they were also on a few other shades from the launch as I went through the photos again.

Nine Lives
MAC Nine Lives Love Me Lipstick ($19.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a deep, raspberry pink with cool undertones and a glossy, cream finish. It had good color coverage in one layer, though it wasn’t quite opaque and didn’t seem to build up fully either. The texture was thinner, lightweight but had enough slip to glide across my lips without dragging during application. The color lasted nicely for five and a half hours, left a subtle, pinkish stain behind, and felt lightly moisturizing while worn.

A perfect raspberry red with a kitty related name? Well then, I’m needing Nine Lives in my life, LOL. I think this will be purrfect for late autumn thru winter.
Give Me Fever looks amazing, too!
I love all three of these, and already bought Shamelessly Vain. Nine Lives is tempting, but I already have Guerlain #21. I’m loving this Love Me line.
All beautiful reds, but the fuchsia lean of Nine Lives has my heart.
Nine Lives looks glorious.
Good grief … Give Me Fever might actually be the perfect shade of red. And despite having literally three dozen + red lip products, nothing I have is in the dupes list (I’ve been thinking about getting Fire & Ice for years … but seeing them compared, I like GMF much better).
Nine Lives is strongly attractive to me too, and I don’t have anything like that either. Oof. This will be a struggle.
