Charlotte Tilbury Glastonberry, Love Liberty, Red Carpet Red Matte Revolution Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Festival Magic (Was Glastonberry)
Charlotte Tilbury Festival Magic Matte Revolution Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark purple–berry with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation with a thin, velvety texture that covered fairly evenly without tugging on the lips. This shade lasted for five and a half hours, and it left behind a subtle stain. It was neither drying nor hydrating while worn for me.
This shade was previously named Glastonberry.

Formula Overview
$37.00/0.12 oz. - $308.33 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "long-lasting color" that's "buildable" with "glowing pigments" that give the "illusion of wider, fuller lips." Some shades are buildable while others are fairly pigmented in one stroke. The consistency was more velvety, lightweight, and thin without being clingy or drying over time. I found that some shades were flattering on, as they didn't emphasize lip texture or get into my lip lines, while other shades gravitated into my lip lines. They wore between three and five hours and were typically non-drying. There was no discernible scent or taste.

Love Liberty
Charlotte Tilbury Love Liberty Matte Revolution Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark berry-red with subtle, rosy pink undertones and a mostly matte finish. It had good color payoff with a velvety consistency that felt smooth and glided on easily. The texture wasn’t clingy, and this shade was slightly hydrating while I wore it. The color lasted well for five hours on me.

Red Carpet Red
Charlotte Tilbury Red Carpet Red Matte Revolution Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is an intense, medium-dark red with strong, cool blue undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque color payoff that applied evenly and smoothly, but you can see that there is a noticeable veil of translucency that lets the natural lip color come through. The color wore well for seven hours and left behind a stain, but it was a bit drying after five hours of wear.

Love Liberty is absolutely stunning! I would love to see it in person first but I don’t have a CT counter anywhere near…
Hopefully one day you’ll be able to check it out!
Too dry looking for me. Cannot see to get interested no matter how I try in her brand. I need testers and swatches on my hand. So I am reluctant to buy.
I think it is a brand that would be served well by having more counters/in-store distribution, too.
There is something grainy and sheer looking about the finish which is off putting for me. I can’t help but feel my dryish lips would not be loving.
I totally get what you mean! I don’t think it is super flattering as a finish though most mattes aren’t exactly doing favors, haha.
So glad Glastonberry got such a good rating! Ordered it online yesterday since I’ve been in love with it after seeing Zoella wear it in her videos but didn’t really do any research on wether the formula/color etcetera was any good. Can’t wait to wear it now, thanks 🙂 .
Hope you love it, Christa 🙂 Keep us posted!
I like the soft matte finish. And all the colors are pretty but Red Carpet is a stunner, well-named
It is nice! I think the “soft matte” makes them more wearable than similar shades with a really matte or shinier finish.
These are all pretty. But, Gastonberry is catching my eye out these!
That seems to be the fave 😀
I like them all, out of the whole release the only one I was really crushing on was Love Liberty so I think I’ll just pick up Vera. It’s similar enough and slightly less matte to boot!
Glad ya found the right one between them all!
Nice, they are obvs pricey, being from a high-end brand but looks like it’s worth buying at least one from the range ?.
It’s nice when high-end performs as it should, lol!
I bought Love Liberty online last night! Luckily I have a Harvey Nicks where I live so I can pick it up for free when it’s ready ?. Your review definitely tipped me over the edge in deciding to buy it ?! x
I love Love Liberty! Looks like it’s totally dupable tho. Good news for my pockets! 🙂
Phew 🙂
Red Carpet Red looks sooooooooooo stunning on you! I wish I could wear reds like you! Sadly I always end up looking way too ‘made up’ with bright red lips.
Aw, thanks so much, Melissa!
Lovely colors!
They are!
Wow! Glastonberry looks great. You don’t see too many lipsticks in a deep-berry type of shade that perform THAT well! Might have to pick this up.
Doesn’t it? Finally someone gets it right!
Yay!!! I got Glastonberry, Amazing Grace and Love Liberty – I haven’t tried them out yet but I’m glad my two favorites scored an A! I was on the fence about Amazing Grace, now I wish I’d ordered Red Carpet Red instead, it’s a gorgeous red, blue reds are my favorite. You look fantastic in them all! Even in sexy Sienna – one that I didn’t have high expectations for, you’ve made me want that one too! Lol
Wooho!! Enjoy your new lipsticks, Bonnie!
Thanks Christine! xo! 🙂
glastonberry is SUCH a pretty shade
It is!
Ahhh, Glastonberry is so even in coverage for a deeper shade! And also LOOKS fantastic and very fall-like. I may really need this one…..?
Uh oh! ;D
These are really lovely. My kind of colors. But dupeable.
They are dupable!
Ooooh, that Glastonberry color is really beautiful! But a $32 lipstick is definitely not in my budget. I may be able to swing the Kat vonD version, tho. Thank you for showing the dupes! That’s a very handy tool for those of us on a tight budget!
My pleasure, Kelly 🙂
I love Red Carpet Red, and I have a lot of dupes for it, I guess it’s one of my go to colours 🙂
I really like Love Liberty and I might buy it somewhere in the future. I thought I’d love Glastonberry but for some reason I don’t really care for it.
All the colours looked lovely on you.
Thank you, Helene!
My favorite berry plummy pink tones! Good thing I don’t have easy access to Charlotte Tilbury…! These are gorgeous though.
Your wallet is safe 🙂
Oh I want Glastonberry, but I can only afford one and Sexy Sienna is very pretty too. I don’t know what to dooo!!
Talk about two very different shades! That is going to be a tough choice!
Love all the colours – especially the Glastonbury one. They look sensational on you Christine. But I do see what you mean about some of them being a bit drying on the lips.
Aw, thanks Genevieve!
These look great on you. It’s getting harder and harder to resist Charlotte Tilbury…
Thank you, Carly!
PRetty colors but seems I have many very close it shade, color, first inshore. If not, I will become a borderline on TV shoes. Don’t need more.
Hi christine. Thanks for the review. I always trust your opinion. So, I saw how gorgeous Glastonberry looked on you and since we are similar in color, I am hoping for a similar effect =). I wanted to know if you experienced any feathering? I’m not prone to it myself (unless it is a very emollient formula) but was wondering if you thought it may benefit from some lip liner and if so, if you could recommend one.
PS I would have purchased Red Carpet Red also because it looked so good on you but since I already have my go to red (Rouge G Garconne), I could not justify it. Thanks again for all you do.
No feathering for me! I think most lipsticks benefit from lip liner, but I don’t think this one needs it unless you find almost everything feathers!
