Anastasia x Norvina Vol 3. Mini Pressed Pigment Palette Review & Swatches
Norvina Mini Vol. 3
Anastasia Norvina Mini Vol. 3 Norvina Mini Pro Pigment Palette ($29.00 for 0.32 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette that features two shimmer shades, one glitter shade, and six matte shades. The palette was a mixed bag with a couple failures with more mildly disappointing shades and a few that were actually good/easy enough to work with.
The glitter shade does include plastic glitter, though the palette only had a warning for the Pressed Pigments (B1, B3, C1, C3) as “not intended for use around the immediate eye area.” I have found that the brand’s Pressed Glitter formula is one of the worst on the market when it comes to the more self-adhesive based formulations that have been released in the last couple of years.

LELimited Edition. $29.00.
A1 (Norvina Mini Vol. 3)
A1 (Norvina Mini Vol. 3) is an iridescent pink with a lavender shift paired with a pearl finish. The texture was more emollient, thin, and difficult to pick up with a brush or a fingertip (the powder adhered very strongly to my fingertip and didn’t want to transfer off easily). It was described as “sheer,” which it definitely was. There were signs of fading after seven hours of wear.

Anastasia Eyeshadow is supposed to be a “finely-milled, highly-pigmented” powder eyeshadow. There are several different finishes, and the performance can be better or worse depending on the finish, though it also ranges from shade to shade. On average, the formula is semi-opaque to opaque, lightly dusty to buttery, wears seven to nine hours, and is fairly blendable. The Metallic and Titanium finishes seem to be the best-performing to me, but there are some really standout mattes and shimmers as well. I have not tried the sparkle, satin, or velvet finishes as extensively as the other finishes, personally.

LELimited Edition. $12.00.
A2 (Norvina Mini Vol. 3)
A2 (Norvina Mini Vol. 3) contained multi-colored, smaller glitter particles suspended in a clear base. It wasn’t described as sheer, though I think it should have been given it had an inclination to sheer out when applied due to having a poorer base. For anyone concerned about fallout, I would wear this with an adhesive base for sure; there was a lot of fallout/migration of this shade, and even just applying it, the product easily wanted to be moved elsewhere.
It does contain plastic glitter, though it did not come with a warning (whereas some of the Pressed Pigment shades did have one).

A2 (Norvina Mini Vol. 3)
LELimited Edition.
A3 (Norvina Mini Vol. 3)
A3 (Norvina Mini Vol. 3) is a muted, medium-dark blue-teal over a blackened base paired with subtle, cool undertones and a sparkling finish. The consistency was denser, more textured to the touch, and it needed to be applied with a firm, synthetic brush to pick up product evenly. It had semi-opaque to opaque coverage, but the thicker texture made it hard to apply against the mattes in the palette as it created an uneven surface overall. The color stayed on well for eight hours with light fallout over time.

B3 (Norvina Mini Vol. 3)
B3 (Norvina Mini Vol. 3) is a medium-dark pink with subtle, cool undertones and flecks of micro-sparkle over a matte finish. The micro-sparkle resulted in light fallout during application and random sparkles that diffused with less precision, so it added sparkle to areas I would have wanted to keep more matte. It had rich color payoff that lasted well for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.

C1 (Norvina Mini Vol. 3)
C1 (Norvina Mini Vol. 3) is a deep red with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. It had good pigmentation that was buildable to full coverage with a second layer, but it did not play well with other shades and was more prone to lifting away color underneath. The texture was slightly drier and thinner compared to some of the other mattes in the palette. This shade wore well for eight and a half hours and left a very faint stain behind.

What a flop! I hate the color combination and almost half the shades have bad scores. Boo, hiss!
I think it’s a cool color story – different than usual, which I appreciate – but I think if the brand had done different shimmers, it would have been easier to use cohesively!
Sorry if I wasn’t clear…I meant I hate it for me, not for everyone. You managed to get an amazing look out of it, but this palette would be an absolute nightmare on my face! Lol
Norvina… a lesson in if you can’t do it well don’t do it at all. It would be beneficial for this brand/offshoot of a brand to take a step back from releasing and work on developing formulas that can perform and not just look punchy in a palette.
Exactly. More work with the lab, and less on the colorboard.
Sheesh, mixed bag is right! The color story is interesting and reminds me a bit of one of the palettes from Melt’s Amor Eterno collection, but like, worse. Anyway, you did an amazing eye look, Christine! Screenshotted and saved for later!
The concept was really cool for sure!
When I was this palette, I was very perplexed: how Is It possibile ti create a cohesive look with such random and untidy color scheme? Moreover It swatched also quite bad. So I thought It was impossibile ti create a decente look. But you made It Christine. Nevertheless all these issues, you create a look that Is STUNNING!
Thank you, Francesa!
I totally agree! The color scheme looks obnoxious to me but Christine, you managed to get a really stunning yet unique look out of it. And if there were not so many C and F’s, I would probably be tempted enough to buy this one by your look alone.
Even though I realize that most find this color combo to be ugly, I sort of like it. Jarring, yes, but very creative pairings! Too bad that the quality just doesn’t support it, though. Oh well, I probably wouldn’t have bought it anyway just because I would rather wait for something far more special.
I think that the poor quality of these nepotistic palettes is despoiling the ABH brand name. Daughter should have her own brand and stand (or fall) on her own.
I agree
The only colour I even like got a pretty poor rating (that brilliant blue/teal); the others just look plain ugly to me and most also did poorly. What a way to let your kid ruin the company and reputation you worked hard to build!
What a shame, as it’s a very unique color scheme. Your eye look is AMAZING, nonetheless.
Why am I not surprised that this Norvina palette is so inconsistent? The glitter shades are awful and so are some of the mattes. An easy pass for most.
Gahh, I really liked this color scheme, it had a retro rockabilly kind of vibe for me. I am so bummed to see that the grades for the colors are all over the place though!! Makes it easy to not busy and goodness knows I probably have a dupe (or 7) for all the colors – like the Morphe 35H for example. Lol
I gotta say, I really love the color stories of the mini Norvinas. It’s such a shame about the performance.
Your eye look is bomb! And I like how bright and colorful the palette looks. Too bad some of the shades performed so poorly even with primer.
Man, this is a shame. I was really interested in this mini palette since I really liked the colour scheme, but I think I will just look for some better dupes of the shades I was interested in instead. Thank you for the review!
I’m more surprised that A3 did so poorly. I would imagine more of the brighter mattes to do poorer than a shimmery shade. What even.
Visual cacophany
I could see wanting to shake things up for the brand or just for what’s being offered for palettes lately, but for me, this is not it.
