Ruffled had a clear base with iridescent, multi-colored glitter in finer to larger hexagon-shaped pieces. The larger pieces were extremely irritating in the eye, and I could feel the edge of it against my lash line if it wasn't properly laying flat. I noticed that the larger particles were very prone to moving around and didn't adhere that well to my skin relative to the small and medium-sized particles. The more impressive part about it was just that the glitter dispersed fairly evenly when applied.
The product contains plastic glitter, which is not considered safe for usage on the eyes (there is a warning on the back of the palette about it).
