Anastasia Lace, Metal, Emerald, Peacock, Prussian Blue Eyeshadows Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Anastasia Lace Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a light, yellowed beige with a satin finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation with a thinner, drier consistency–this one was firm in the pan, which made it harder to use. It blends out nicely, but it tends to go on sheer. It lasted for seven hours on me. MAC Tabby (LE, $22.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Too Faced Banana Cream Pie (LE, $16.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Anastasia Metal Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a bright, light gold with a sparkling, metallic finish. It had good color payoff paired with a soft, blendable texture that was dense and buttery to work with, so it held a lot of the sparkle with the base. I had minor fall out over a nine-hour period, but the eyeshadow didn’t fade or crease during that time. Urban Decay Neon Moon (LE, $20.00) is darker, warmer (95% similar). Anastasia Emerald Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a medium-dark, forest green with subtle, warm undertones and a pearly sheen. FORMULA OVERVIEW | Anastasia Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.06 oz.) is supposed to be a “finely-milled, highly-pigmented” powder eyeshadow. The brand has a large range of individual eyeshadows that are available as pan-only (no compact to hold them); if you purchase four, you’ll get a 4-well palette for $40 ($10 per eyeshadow), or purchase eight and get an 8-well palette for $70 ($8.75 per eyeshadow). The palettes are thick cardboard palettes with tabs on the side for easy removal/rearranging. There are several different finishes, and the performance can be better or worse depending on the finish, though it also ranges from shade to shade. On average, the formula is semi-opaque to opaque, lightly dusty to buttery, wears seven to nine hours, and is fairly blendable. The Metallic and Titanium finishes seem to be the best-performing to me, but there are some really standout mattes and shimmers as well. I have not tried the sparkle, satin, or velvet finishes as extensively as the other finishes, personally.

Wow Christine, this eye look is a killer! So gorgeous!
Thanks, Nathalia!
I love the two greens and the blue. I think it’s pretty funny that ABH did a stunning job with those, then managed to do a bad beige.
Hahaha!
Really. Beige ‘ain’t tough.’
I was just about to say that. The greens are gorgeous, and the blue is so pretty even I want it, and I’m really not into blue.
A little off topic, but I love the new format you have for the lead photo, Christine!
Stunning eye look! How do you feel these compare to mufe artist shadows?
They’re not as firm/dense as some of the more shimmery shades, but they have a similar smoothness/velvety feel.
That’s great to know. I was wondering how these would work together. I have z-palettes with mufe. I really don’t want to separate them. I probably would just blend them in by shade. Thanks for answering. I know you get bombarded. 🙂
I’m so loving the looks you’re making with these.
It’s love this as a trio. lol
I’m excited Sephora is soon getting the full Anastasia line. I CAN order stuff soon.
Beautiful shadows and beautiful looks! Do you remember what was on your lower lash line in the second set of looks? Thanks!
Unfortunately, I don’t!
OMG, I went to Anastasia’s website, and there’s like 100 shades!! I had absolutely no idea there were so many, and there are 2 local Macy’s that have displays, will definitely go there to check them out. I’m very impressed from what I’ve seen so far. And a 4- pan custom palette will be $40, a lot cheaper than an MUFE Artist palette, which is only 3 pans for $44 with Sephora discount
Ok, Macy’s website has 50 of the 100, and my local store says they have the 50 on display, so will scope them out.
I am really beginning to love Anastasia’s permanent eyeshadow range! These are overall, very good quality and at a decent price, too.
Oooh, and that green, purple and vivid copper look you put together is fantabulous! I’ve done purple & green together before, but that copper gives it extra oomph!
Oh wow, it’s insane how much this Peacock looks like MUFE’s Peacock, haha.
Wow, lovely! My colours too! Worth considering for me ?.
Yay!
How much do I love your reviews? So so so much! I am really looking into these and your reviews and swatches and dupes — OMG — thank you for all that you do and for this site! It’s unbelievable the information on here!!!!
Aw, thanks a lot, Ann Marie!
These colours are absolutely gorgeous and I love all of them, except for Lace. Your eye looks are just beautiful too. I do think Peacock and Emerald are very similar colours, but I just love the Peacock colour a bit more. As I own the UD Spectrum palette – many of these sorts of colours are found there. Generally a great rating and fabulous colours.
Nice! I’m very tempted by Metal, Emerald, Peacock, and Prussian Blue — I only have dupes for the blue, but they don’t seem exactly the same to me (of course, lol!)
Prussian Blue is beautiful!
I need to invest in some of these shadows. They are really good. Thank you, Christine for the review.
Your eye look is absolutely stunning!
