Boot Season Eyeshadow ($6.25 for 0.11 oz.) is described as a "multi-faceted green ... graced with hues of brown and rust." It's a medium-dark, forest green with warm, brown undertones and a frosted, slightly metallic, sheen. Applied dry, it's semi-sheer and lighter--also warmer--and then applied over Pixie Epoxy (or damp), it is darker and more pigmented. It wore well for eight hours on the lid over Pixie Epoxy, and I had no fall out; when worn applied damp to the lid, I had good wear for almost eight hours and very minimal fall out.  This shade is very, very soft and is best applied over Pixie Epoxy, dampened, or else patted on to maintain color opacity.  Dior Bonne Etoile (384) #1 (LE) is warmer, darker. Urban Decay Zodiac (P, $20.00) is very similar. MAC Unsurpassable (LE, $21.00) is lighter. MAC Greensmoke (DC, $15.00) is similar. L'Oreal Golden Emerald (P, $7.99) is slightly greener. Sugarpill Junebug (P, $12.00) is less warm-toned. Make Up For Ever #84 (P, $20.00) is darker, more muted. Inglot #418 (P, $6.00) is brighter, greener. See comparison swatches.

Claims / Ingredients

Our loose shadows are not dry powder, but contain synthetic oil and other ingredients which cause them to appear clumpy or sometimes form tiny (easily used as-is or crushed) balls of shadow. They are supposed to look and feel this way. The inclusion of these ingredients often lends to richer color and longer wear, and helps reduce fallout during application.
