Powder Eyeshadows $10 & Under | 2016 Editor's Favorites

Top 16 of 2016: Powder Eyeshadows $10 & Under

You definitely don’t have to splash out to get a quality eyeshadow, even when you’re buying shades individually! (This is especially true with more shimmery formulas.) Normally, I use $15 as my marker being budget-friendly and higher-end, but for single eyeshadows, I felt like the $10 mark was more appropriate. It’s great to see more brands using more cream-like powder formulas, which seem to yield great adhesion to the lid (even without primer) along with intense pigmentation!

Looks like I need to catch up! I will likely go for Coloured Raine and MUG Foiled first. Both have such unique shades for budget brands. I also am loving that Sephora Don’t Get Me Wrong eyeshadow, too! An added plus is that I don’t have to order it.
My only budget eyeshadow single discovery this year came in an Ipsy bag: Nyx Prismatic Fireball. Oh my, what a beauty!

Oh yes, nice to see the City Color Shimmer Shadows on this list! For me, Hint of Mint always gets lots of love in spring and Evergreen is beautiful. Also love U Jelly, very versatile color. Nice to see Sephora on this list. And my first MUG order is coming some day, so the only brand I haven’t tried is Coloured Raine, a situation that must be rectified in 2017!

Sephora’s Be on the A List predates 2016…I’ve had it for a few years (and really like it). But they’re the only shadows on my “under 10 dollars (well, I think they’re 12 here in Canada) shadows and the 2 that I think are new this year (maybe) are Secret Keeper (it’s a beauty) and Cashmere Coat, which I got as a dupe for the one shadow that I seriously wanted from that Nars Give In Take palette. I think those are the only “budget” shadows I’ve bought this year (mind you, I’m thinking that the MAC Pro Pans now fit into that category!)

Christina….do you find that the palette’s are just as good? I went to the site through you affiliate link – and I was just wondering? Have you tested any of the palette’s? It’s just usually such a better value….. They’re a better value, but not always the same quality.

I own one of those Shimmer Shadows from City Color and I love the way it performs. I will have to check out the colors on this list! Coloured Raine shadows are definitely my favorite this year.
