Makeup Geek Limelight Foiled Eyeshadow ($10.00 for 0.064 oz.) is a bright, neon lime green with strong, warm yellow undertones and a pearly sheen. It had good pigmentation, but I noticed that it lost its intensity within five to ten minutes of application. I would apply it to the lid, and it would really pop, but then after I applied another shade, it seemed to dull visibly. It applied fairly evenly, but the denser, creamier texture didn’t blend out perfectly, so it took extra work and maneuvering (even when using Makeup Geek’s Foiled Eyeshadow Brush). It was richly pigmented with a soft, smooth, and lightly dense texture that was extremely easy to use and apply to the lid. Makeup Geek Epic Foiled Eyeshadow ($10.00 for 0.064 oz.) is a rich, medium-dark emerald green with warmer, olive undertones and a soft, frosted sheen. It had good color coverage, but the texture was so dense that it was almost thick in overall feel, so the color didn’t blend out as easily–it tended to “drag” and have more uneven edges if I wasn’t careful. It is an eyeshadow that tended to work best on the mobile lid or when another, more traditional powder eyeshadow was blended along its edges. Makeup Geek Legend Foiled Eyeshadow ($10.00 for 0.064 oz.) is a rich, medium-dark coppery brown with warm, orangey undertones and a metallic sheen. The texture was soft, dense, and lightly creamy, so it applied well to bare skin and had intense pigmentation. The downside is that it is best patted and pushed on the lid, rather than swept on, so flat, synthetic brushes or fingertips worked best to smooth out the color (it’s almost as if it was too pigmented otherwise). The pigmentation was intense, and the texture was dense and cream-like, so you didn’t need much for full coverage all over the lid. It blended out nicely, and it sat well on the skin, but I did experience creasing after six and a half hours of wear. Formula Overview

Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadow ($10.00 for 0.064 oz.) is supposed to be a hybrid between cream and powder with intense pigmentation. They are, generally, quite pigmented and have a very dense, creamy consistency that is a bit thicker and sometimes has to be pressed and worked into the skin to smooth it out (or else it looks uneven, not in color, but in actual texture). They can be gorgeous on, as they have a high-shine finish and seem richer than similarly-hued products in a more traditional powder formula. For me, the biggest downside is that they are particularly prone to creasing; it is not just something I have experienced but a more frequent comment I see from readers about it. I get creasing between five and eight hours of wear, and the only solution I’ve found is using a MAC Paint Pot underneath but thinner primers like Urban Decay Primer Potion don’t seem to help much.
