Urban Decay Echo & Fade Lo-Fi Lip Mousse Reviews & Swatches
Echo
Urban Decay Echo Lo-Fi Lip Mousse ($22.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark plum with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. It had buildable coverage from sheer to opaque in three layers. The texture felt clay-like in the pot, movable but not wet or creamy (like you might expect a potted lipstick to feel). It was thinner and felt like powder when patted onto my lips, and it felt a little clingy to me (which I didn’t enjoy, but it wasn’t actually drying) and did emphasize my lip texture a bit. It wore well for five hours and definitely survived drinking water.

Formula Overview
$22.00/0.12 oz. - $183.33 Per Ounce
Per the brand, the formula is supposed to be "weightless, buildable, [and] waterproof" with a "velvety soft finish that feels like you're wearing nothing." The consistency of the product inside the compact feels like clay--it's drier but malleable, movable with a fingertip that will create a dip while moving the product upward to the outer edge. It feels like a powder when the product gets applied to the lips, which has a drier, clingier feeling, though I wouldn't consider it a drying formula--it was quite lightweight and non-drying over time. A few shades emphasized the natural texture of my lips quite noticeably (Halo being the worst offender) but others applied well and looked like a blotted, matte lipstick. The lipsticks lasted between three and six hours; they do seem to be waterproof and don't break down with drinking water or hot tea, but they don't survive through meals that well.
Each compact opens up with a mirror inside, and there's a doe-foot applicator that removes from the center portion of the compact for on-the-go application. I was not personally enthused with the doe-foot applicator as I found it only useful for getting the cupid's bow but not particularly useful for even application all over my lips. I preferred to use a fingertip to distribute the most product initially and then use the included applicator to get around the edges. For medium coverage, I recommend patting color in three pats on the upper and lower lip, then lightly brush the fingertip across the lips to blend out the product. For sheerer coverage, try patting color along the center of the lips and then rubbing lips together to diffuse the coverage.

Fade
Urban Decay Fade Lo-Fi Lip Mousse ($22.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium, rosy brown with warm undertones and a matte finish. The pigmentation was buildable from sheer to mostly opaque coverage in three layers. The lipstick had a velvety, dense, and clay-like texture in the pot, which translated to a thin, more powder-like, very lightweight feeling on my lips. I found it felt a bit clingy, though it didn’t dry out my lips over time. The color applied evenly and blended out well, but the finish emphasied my lip lines a bit. It stayed on well for four and a half hours but water didn’t seem to break it down.

These are the two I’ve been keeping in mind….to use as blush! I believe they would work fabulously for that purpose, especially if I think I may be taking a dip in a pool *after* having had to go out and about first. Also, I would be using them on lips, too. With MAC Prep & Prime lips underneath or a gloss over it.
I got Fade and if that works well, will definitely be picking up more colors
