Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Skin Tone/Coloring: Light neutral skin tone, green eyes, salt & pepper hair

Favorite Look: • EYES: MAC single eyeshadows (Omega in crease, Grain on lid, Satin Taupe on outer V, Blanc Type on brow bone), Sephora 12hr Colorful Contour Pencil in Black Lace in upper lash line, NYX Worth the Hype Mascara, Diorshow Brow Styler 04. • FACE: Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, NARS Orgasm Blush, Guerlain Meteorites Pearls 02. • LIPS: Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in No. 5.

Most Used Products: Diorshow Brow Styler 04, Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer

Beauty Discoveries: The following is a negative discovery (but kind of funny). One morning this week, I left the house wearing Bite Beauty’s Libra, which I got in the holiday mini set. I was unsure about this shade on me, so I threw MAC Persistence lipstick, a brown that I use a lot, in my bag before I left. I’m glad I did, because after seeing myself in my rearview mirror as I drove to work, I felt that Libra looked like dog poop on my lips (sorry…lol). When I got to work, I switched to MAC Persistence and it looked so much better. But just to add a positive note, although this shade didn’t work with my skintone, Libra’s formula is wonderful.

Your skin tone/coloring: Next to my name! Plus blue-green eyes.

Favorite look from the week: Something about yesterday’s look just made me go “ooh!” in the mirror! Eyes : MAC Orb browbone, Uninterrupted transition, then used ColourPop Popular Demand and French Kiss from Take Me Home palette to build up dimension and depth in the crease, then UD 16th Street in the inner crease down into inner lid, Salt in tearduct, Plunge outer lid swept up into a cat-eye effect (very cool!) and on entire lower lashline, the UD Leo on mid lid, finished up with my usual black cat-eye gel liner, tightline and mascara. Cheeks: MAC Spring Flock topped with Pat McGrath Iridescent Pink highlighter. Lips: Pat McGrath MatteTrance Lipstick in Candy Flip with Aliengelic LUST Lipgloss over it.

Your most used product this week: Is it teal? Is it bronzey brown? Then I hit that!

Any beauty discoveries (new or old): Shopping my stash is actually the most fun I’ve had using my makeup in a while!

Favorite look from the week: ABH Sultry palette on eyes – Ember on lids and I think it’s Twig in crease/for transition; Dior Rosy Glow on cheeks and – to my utter amazement – MAC Rebel lipstick
Your most used product this week: Ember e/s, Sephora Cappuccino liner, Embryolisse face cream
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): MAC Rebel; I got it years ago and set it aside because it looked kinda harsh and aging on me (reminded me of several women I’d seen at my kids’ school wearing those deep, quite harsh looking lipsticks); anyway, I have been loving it applied not too heavily – it makes the nicest berry lip and fades to a flattering stain. Not crazy for the Satin finish….I find MAC’s Satins aren’t very satiny, but I am liking the effect of the colour applied like I’ve been doing it.

Discovery: TJMaxx had Anastasia Subculture and I gave in and got one. Unfortunately for me, it’s a reformulated one. The usual Anastasia eyeshadows contain corn starch, and I’m allergic. Subculture and Prism didn’t originally have corn starch, but I wasn’t drawn to the colors enough. Before tossing the box, l happened to look at the ingredients – on a sticker like goods from a foreign country! Won’t be able to return. I thought I’d share in case reformulation will be good news to others.

Favorite look from the week: The look I did today! The Catrice HD foundation in 010 light beige, milk concealer in fair, a very VERY light hand of LM setting powder because the foundation is so skin like. I did Huda Rose Gold Remastered – Sandalwood in the crease, Henna on the outer half of the lid, Moon Dust on the inner half. I used Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk blush, which I’m having a bit of issues with, I don’t know why. The middle bottom blush on the Hourglass Unlocked palette got mixed in, along with the champagne flash highlighter which is the best highlighter I’ve ever used. Lips were Rouge D’armani Matte Lipstick in 102, which was an 100 pt perk. I’m excited, as it’s a dupe for KVD Double Dare and lasted through 5 hours of my 6.5 hour shift.
Your most used product this week: Milk Flex Concealer in Fair. I got a wax last week and my chin was not having that wax.
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): Catrice Ultra HD. I was watching Raw Beauty Kristi and she bought it, so I got it off Amazon. The smell is … interesting but wow does it last on my oily skin and make it look radiant but not oily. I had a teen tell me today I looked amazing after 7.5 hours of wear and it only came off on my nose after intense rubbing.

Your skin tone/coloring: NARS Sheer Glow in Gobi, MAC NC15
Favorite look from the week: Hmmm. Some goldish color (like CRÈME BRULEE from Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette) all over the lid, HAUTE CHOCOLATE in the outer corner and SEMI-SWEET in the crease.
MAKE UP FOR EVER B302 blush and MAC Whisper of GIlt highligter. Will not bore you with the eyeliners and the base products.
Your most used product this week: MAC GOLD FX HYPER REAL FOUNDATION (glowing to the max!) and Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): MAC GOLD FX HYPER REAL FOUNDATION (not only does it add beaulful glow, but it also also makes my skin smoother) and Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil. My dehidrated skin is sooo happy with it, especially now it’s winter. It is much smoother and the hydration is not surface deep.
