Surratt Beauty Glitterati Prismatique Lips
Surratt Beauty Glitterati Prismatique Lips ($36.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a medium-dark berry with subtle, cooler undertones and multi-colored pearl and violet sparkle. It had semi-sheer color coverage with a lightly glossy finish. The color applied evenly and didn’t pull into lip lines. This shade lasted for two hours, while the glitter lasted a bit longer. I found the formula hydrating overall. Too Faced Wham (DC, $22.00) is more shimmery, darker (85% similar). Dior Fashion Night (881) (P, $35.00) is cooler (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Alasdhair (LE, $36.00) is more shimmery, more pigmented, cooler (85% similar). Urban Decay Seismic (DC, $18.00) is cooler (85% similar). Surratt Beauty Jolie Laide Prismatique Lips ($36.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a soft, light-medium rosy beige with pink and gold sparkle. This one had a more noticeable glittery feel when applied from the tube, though it didn’t seem to transfer that much glitter (compared to other shades). It had semi-sheer coverage (the effect is lightening on me), was comfortable to wear as it was hydrating, but it only lasted an hour. Surratt Beauty Paillettes (P, $36.00) is less shimmery, warmer (95% similar). Burberry Gold No. 217 (LE, $33.00) is lighter, more pigmented (90% similar). Tarte Bellini (LE, $16.00) is darker, more pigmented (90% similar). Guerlain Sous Le Vent (DC, $35.00) is darker, more pigmented (90% similar). MAC Smash Hit (LE, $19.00) is more shimmery, warmer (90% similar). Bobbi Brown Pink Gold Shimmer (7) (P, $28.00) is darker, more pigmented (90% similar). Surratt Beauty Lili Doree Prismatique Lips ($36.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark peachy orange with warm undertones and fine gold and pink pearl. It had more of a pearly finish than glittery, so it was smoother in the tube and as it applied. It had semi-sheer color coverage with a lightweight, emollient texture that applied evenly but settled into lip lines. It lasted for an hour and a half on me but was hydrating. Tom Ford Beauty Frolic (P, $54.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Skinny Dip (P, $55.00) is less glossy (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Demsey (DC, $36.00) is less glossy (90% similar). Urban Decay Ex-Girlfriend (DC, $18.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Bare Peach (23) (P, $57.00) is less shimmery, darker, less glossy (90% similar). Urban Decay Fireball (LE, $18.00) is lighter, brighter, cooler (90% similar). Smashbox Famous (PiP, $21.00) is less shimmery, cooler (85% similar). Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Synth (DC, $17.00) is more shimmery, darker, less glossy (90% similar). Chanel Mystique (57) (DC, $34.00) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Pink Dune (02) (LE, $55.00) is more shimmery, lighter, less glossy (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Bradley (P, $36.00) is less shimmery, lighter (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
Surratt Beauty Paillettes Prismatique Lips ($36.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a light pink with warm undertones and fine pink pearl and larger gold micro-glitter. This was the “roughest” shade in terms of texture, as it appeared full of glitter, though it didn’t translate as overtly sparkly on the lips. It had very sheer coverage with moderate shimmer. The color lasted an hour, and while the formula was hydrating, the glitter migrated within two hours of wear. Surratt Beauty Jolie Laide (P, $36.00) is more shimmery, cooler (95% similar). Urban Decay Tower 1 (LE, $18.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). MAC I'm In (LE, $20.00) is less shimmery, darker, more pigmented (85% similar). Bobbi Brown Pink Gold Shimmer (7) (P, $28.00) is darker (85% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty Have We Met? (108) (P, $30.00) is darker, more pigmented (85% similar). FORMULA OVERVIEW | Surratt Beauty Prismatique Lips ($36.00 for 0.08 oz.) is supposed to give “sheer, glistening shine” and color with a “moisturizing” formula that “glides on effortlessly.” The formula is sometimes pearly, sometimes even glittery, and though it isn’t gritty, I can certainly feel the distinctive texture of the sparkle/glitter as I apply the lipstick with some shades. They have a lot of slip, and they have very little wear time–one to two hours–when it comes to the “color” of them (they are supposed to be sheer, and they are; one doesn’t need every shade) and then the glitter slides around for another hour. Some of the glitter travels past the lip line. The formula is lightly hydrating, comfortable to wear, and definitely catches the light in a pretty way, but the wear time, traveling glitter, and streaky/settling color were all disappointing. I think these would have been better as glosses. They were designed to be worn alone or layered, though the emollient texture didn’t play well with all lipsticks (particularly anything in the satin or matte family). I didn’t notice any scent/taste.

The price point for this type of product is off putting for me. $44 cad.
I just wish they wore longer/glitter stayed put better, because at this price point… they just fall so short.
My favourites Glitterati, it’s a very pretty colour. Shame it didn’t last longer though, my lips eat lipstick so I’m sure it won’t last even that long on me!
lol!
These are all too sheer for me, but others might like them
Totally understand!
These are pretty on your lips, Christine, but they sound like kind of a mess to apply and wear — not worth it for something that seems like it’s meant to be part of a casual makeup look!
They could definitely wear better!
In the tubes they look so glittery but on the lips they look like balms with really no detectable shimmer. Weird….
LOL! Might be one of those tricks of macro photography, I think.
I am incredibly unimpressed by the pigmentation of these. They look very much like tinted lip balm (and barely that, in some cases) with a little glitter added. I expect much better from a $36 product, to be honest.
Well, they are supposed to be sheer (that’s what the brand says), but I can totally understand if you want more pigment at this price point!
Glitterati is a beautiful shade, but not worth the bucks since it doesn’t perform well enough. You win some, you lose some.
Exactly!
Huge passes for me, though Glitterati is kind of pretty. It reminds me of a watered down version of Too Faced La Creme in “Wham!”
I see what you mean!
The actual shades are so pretty applied, and sadly only for 1-2 hours….big miss for me. I’ll stick to getting Too Faced Wham instead, and look to see about dupes for Lili Doree, too. I wish Surratt had done these as lip glosses instead.
Oh, yeah, they look gorgeous on! The wear time is just a bummer, though.
A few weeks ago I swatched these lippies at a store, and I really loved how they reflect the light. I was considering Gliteratti but I already own Dior Fashion Night… I might cave and get another shade one day, but I’m not sure which one now!
They are lovely for sure on! If it was me, I would just get one or two – too many of them run together, at least from the ones I picked, lol!
These are pretty, and the glitter is certainly on trend. Lili Doree would be a win for me if it showed up as well as Glitterati.
If only! 🙁
Does having all that sparkly stuff in the lipstick make you want to lick your lips more? I think I would find this irritating…..I do like the Glitterati colour, but I wouldn’t want this product.
You know, it doesn’t give me that feeling, but I can definitely see that being a side effect for some! I think I have trained myself not to lick/nibble/mess with my lips too much in the name of testing, lol!
I like glitteratti but way too much $$$ for these!
I’m with you, Erin!
