Sephora Blaze of Glory & Classic Beige Cream Lip Stains Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Blaze of Glory (76)
Sephora Blaze of Glory (76) Cream Lip Stain ($14.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark red-brown with warm, rusty undertones and a flat, matte finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, lightly creamy texture that was thin without being watery. It dried down within 30 seconds to a mostly matte finish, but there was a touch of tackiness present whenever I pressed my lips together (but no color lifted) for the first couple hours of wear. This shade stayed on well for eight hours and made it through eating/drinking without being a drying formula.

Formula Overview
$14.00/0.169 oz. - $82.84 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "high-coverage" that goes on "smooth" and yields a "silky, lightweight stain" that is "long-lasting" and "never sticky" and "won't dry out lips." One of the signature traits for the formula is that it is a thinner (and yet somehow creamy) texture that does spread well but feels thin and very lightweight on the lips. It dries down quickly, but I never felt like it was troublesome to apply, even if I needed an extra moment to get around the edges of my lips, so it was a more forgiving formula despite setting more quickly. Once it set, the color did stay locked on for hours--I tested shades for around eight hours and many were still going strong. The formula was non-drying to slightly drying to me. They had a moderately strong, sweet scent (almost like burnt sugar) that also smelled just slightly "perfume-y" to me, but it seemed to dissipate after an hour of wear.
The pigmentation varied from shade to shade, but it did seem that the more shimmery and metallic shades often were less pigmented and did not always apply as evenly and sometimes seemed to sit in my lip lines. The cream/matte shades applied more evenly and had more opaque coverage on average.

Classic Beige (02)
Sephora Classic Beige (02) Cream Lip Stain ($14.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a light-medium, rosy brown with warm undertones and a flat, matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer that applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without emphasizing my lip lines (but it wasn’t quite as smoothing of my lip lines as some shades have been in the formula!). The texture was very lightweight after it had dried down with some tackiness (but color didn’t lift when I pressed my lips together) for the first few hours of wear. It was originally a very fluid, lightly creamy texture that was thin but not at all watery or hard to maneuver along my lips. The color wore well for seven hours and was non-drying.

Both are great, very “me” everyday shades. But being very “me” means I already have several dupes of both shades.
The only thing that struck me as a little odd is the name Blaze of Glory, which sounds more like a name for a bright red or orange!!
Because Bon Jovi; I need Blaze Of Glory! Even though I have MAC Strip Me Down, I’m too big of a fan girl not to!
Classic Beige does for you exactly what PMG She’s Heaven does for me: gives you the flawless, perfect nude lip that doesn’t need extras to work with your skintone. I’d say it’s the lighter version of She’s Heaven personified!
Uh oh…me think perchance I spoke too soon. Blaze Of Glory is near IDENTICAL to PMG She’s Heaven Luxetrance. Like, almost 100%. Fan girl deflated just a notch. The upside is that I absolutely LOVE She’s Heaven!
Blaze of Glory makes me want a Rent-themed collection!
For those light medium/medium, neutral undertoned folks who have a hard time finding a flattering nude–classic beige is perfect. I tried it on a whim and haven’t felt this strongly about a lip color in years. So good that you immediately start worrying about it being discontinued. Try it!
So what you’re saying is, I’d better order a few of them? LOL 😉
Both, please.
I want both! And I’m getting both 😉
I want this b/c it’s a dupe for Nars Slow Ride. I almost grabbed it this past weekend, but I did not want to spend the $26, but this is $14 and has a better rating.
