Abyss is a medium black with neutral undertones and a matte finish. It had medium, buildable color payoff with a slightly drier texture that wasn't difficult to blend out but was more prone to kicking up product in the pan and having a bit of fallout during application. This shade started to fade on me after six and a half hours of wear.
