Stila Essence is a neutral-toned, medium-dark black with a matte finish. It is an eyeshadow that is permanent in this palette: Soul.

Essence is a medium-dark black with a matte finish. The texture felt soft, but it was dry and thin, so it didn't bind well on its own. It had semi-opaque color payoff applied dry, and it intensified to mostly opaque color coverage when applied dampened, but it was harder to blend when I used it damp.
