Pretty Penny

Pretty Penny is a medium, coppery red with warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It had semi-opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which I tried to layer and build up to varying degrees of success. When I tried it on my lower lash line, I was able to build up the coverage, but it became more uneven as I layered it due to the waxier consistency. It had a thinner consistency with barely any glide, which wasn't too bad to work with if I was just swatching across my arm, but when I had to apply it to the curved area of my lid or my lips, it tugged a ton.

When I tried it as an eyeshadow, the color was difficult to apply evenly, and it ended up looking patchy the more I tried to fuss with it. When I tried to diffuse and soften the edge, a lot of product flaked off and lifted in that area, which gave it a "bald" appearance. It has such a thin texture without much slip that there's no time to blend; I wasn't even able to apply it with a brush or fingertip as the product dried before it could adhere to my lid! What I managed to get on lasted for eight hours for the most part, but there was some additional flaking over time. As a lipstick, it applied fairly evenly, though painfully as it tugged and dragged on my lips, but it lifted and revealed a patchy mess if I dared to press my lips together (even just gently, after having already experienced this with every shade during swatching). It was drying over the five hours the rest of it stayed on for.
