Pat McGrath Full Blooded & Vendetta MatteTrance Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Full Blooded
Pat McGrath Full Blooded MatteTrance Lipstick ($38.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a deep, reddened plum with cool undertones and a satin finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single stroke, which was buildable to full coverage with a second layer. The texture felt velvety, smooth, and just creamy enough to glide across my lips without dragging but not enough to feel slippery or be prone to feathering/migrating on me. It wore down to a matte finish within two hours and lasted for nearly eight hours and stained quite noticeably. The formula felt non-drying to me.

Formula Overview
$38.00/0.14 oz. - $271.43 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be “richly pigmented” with “”supreme hydration” and “opulent matte opacity.” The consistency was smooth, velvety, and dense without being too firm for one-stroke, glide-on application (I found the original shades to be slightly firmer compared to more newly released shades). They had nearly opaque to opaque coverage in one layer and most were buildable.
They had a subtle sheen--more satin-to-cream in finish--that wore down to a natural matte finish within an hour or two of wear. The formula lasted between four and eight hours on me, and while most weren't drying, they aren't "supreme[ly" hydrating either. They are, however, comfortable to wear over a longer period of time and reapply well. There was no discernible scent or taste to the formula.

Vendetta
Pat McGrath Vendetta MatteTrance Lipstick ($38.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a rich, medium-dark red with subtle, cool undertones and a semi-matte finish. The color payoff was fantastic–incredibly rich coverage in a single layer–and applied smoothly across my lips for an even application. The texture felt lightweight, velvety, and creamy without being too thick. The color wore well for almost eight hours, left a deep pink stain behind, and was neither drying nor hydrating.

Full Blooded is gorgeous!
Well, two more to add to my wish list!
I thought this was luxe trance, not matte. Bought Elson instead of that reason.
Vendetta was the only one of the new mattes to catch my eye, but I’m still on the fence about it. Thirty-eight dollars is a lot for a lipstick you don’t completely love. Though I will say my two luxe trances are very well loved – especially considering they were purchased during the Sephora VIB sale.
Of course, I’m crazy in love with both shades! The perfect vampy plum tinged burgundy, and a fabulously rich, sexy red. These are the stuff of my happy lipstick dreams!
Stunning shades, they are both gorgeous.
Vendetta is such a gorgeous shade, especially on you Christine and the quality of the product at this point has been consistent. Pat Mcgrath knows what she is doing.
OMG!!!these lipsticks are beyond lovely. Lovely swatches! Vendetta looks beautiful on you. I have bought this, but have been waiting for your review and I am so glad I did.
I have bought Major Red (which as you have rated, is one of the best red lippies out there which lasts!) and Elson. I am a red matte lipstick junkie, so Vendetta for sure was on my list. So far, most are receiving great reviews. For 38 bucks it sure has been value for money, as it has lasting power and does not feather. Can’t wait to try on vendetta soon.
Thanks Christine xx
Vendetta is one of those just right reds that will look good on most people, I think.
The texture looks incredible even in the bullet!
Someday I will be able to once again purchase a $30+ lipstick… and when I am, I know PMG will be there waiting for me with open arms. Can’t wait LOL
I like both, but I have so many reds I have to finish some before adding new ones. Full Blooded on the other hand is high on my wish list. It’s so gorgeous. Generally I’m not a fan of matte lipsicks as my lips get so unfomfortable after a few hours, or even less time, but the only lipstick I have from Pat is a matte and it’s actually comfortable.
Omg honestly I can’t whip out $52 for one of these, but both of these are amazing. Definitely going on my WL.
Ugh!!! Pat McGrath is killing my bank account lol. So beautiful
