NABLA Cosmetics Wild Berry Cutie Palette Review & Swatches
Wild Berry
NABLA Cosmetics Wild Berry Cutie Palette ($24.00 for 0.28 oz.) is a new, six-pan palette that included three mattes, one semi-matte, and two intense metallics. All of the shades had good pigmentation that ranged from semi-opaque to full coverage in a single layer. Despite being deeper matte shades, they blended out fairly well over bare skin and lasted for eight to nine hours. Alchemy 2.0 gave me a bit of fallout, but Bucolic Baby was very smooth and easy to work with.
As a note, Venom, Botanic Juice, Bucolic Baby, and Blackberry are all listed as “Face” shades (effectively making them the Pressed Pigments in the palette).

Incense
Incense is a medium peach with moderate, warm undertones and larger flecks of sparkle over a semi-matte finish. The Latex finish is hard to describe, as it’s a cream-powder with a bit of denseness to it, so a lot of those sparkles actually translate and adhere to the lid. Mine arrived with the pan of product shrunk, though it didn’t feel super dry, it did feel drier than past Latex Mattes I’ve tried.
I’m not sure if it the formula could contract in size just from changes in temperatures without actually changing the texture overall. I had some fallout during application as a result, and I’d definitely say to use a lighter touch with it. The color wore fairly well for eight hours with light fallout over time.

Venom
Venom is a rich, pinky-berry with cool undertones and a matte finish. It was intensely pigmented, and a little went a very, very long way, so I’d recommend using less than you think you need and build up if necessary. The texture felt smooth, silky, and was blendable without being too powdery nor too firmly pressed into the pan. It stayed on well for nine hours before fading a bit, and there was light staining after removal.

Bucolic Baby
Bucolic Baby is a light-medium, reddish-copper with flecks of gold and pink sparkle over a metallic sheen. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer with a really intense shine–it looked almost wet when applied (even when worked with dry). The texture was lightly creamy, smooth, and almost wet to the touch (though not an actual cream). The eyeshadow applied well to bare skin without fallout during application. It lasted nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.

Alchemy 2
Alchemy 2 has a translucent, almost peachy base with flecks of peach to teal shifting shimmer and sparkle. It had good color coverage, though it was comprised of a lot of shimmer, and it seemed to appear a little lighter when applied to my skin compared to the initial swatch.
The texture felt almost wet to the touch, so it was emollient without being dense or actually creamy. It was very lightweight and thin, and the sparkles sat well on my skin–flatter–so there was minimal fallout when working with it with a dry brush. I’d recommend patting onto the lid with a fingertip, though, for less fallout. It wore well for eight and a half hours with slight fallout over time.

Blackberry
Blackberry is a rich burgundy with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It was intensely pigmented where a little went a long way, and it was easiest to work with using a lighter hand and a more precise brush. This approach makes it easier to diffuse and blend it out without getting a ton of fallout or over-applying it.
The consistency was soft, silky, and smooth but was lightly powdery and had a touch of fallout during application and wasn’t the easiest shade to diffuse (but workable). The color stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.

Botanic Juice
Botanic Juice is a muted, deeper red with warm undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was soft, lightly powdery and a smidgen on the drier side, though it was fairly blendable and didn’t have fallout during application. It had opaque pigmentation that lasted well for eight and a half hours before fading a bit. There was light staining after I removed it, though.

A Cutie indeed. I think there are lots of varied looks in this small gem. I especially like the muted red, botanic juice.
Right, Botanic juice appeals to me too. Lately, I have been all about these muted red/rose/orange tones in the high crease/transition area. Huda Beauty muted mauves shade 6 (middle row, right side) and Sydney Grace Enduring love light Darcy.
I see shades from my other palettes in this one so it’s a pass, but I do like it.
Doing a TBT, i think I’ve bought nearly every shade that Christine describes as muted. Foremost in my mind: Old MUFE Blue Cedar. Mauve/Purple from Ulta coming and eventually Making Mauves from CP. Intend to use them just as you describe.
So, so thoroughly tempting! This does have a juicy berry juice effect on the lid, although far more artistically and strategically placed. Love the overall effect!
It is a cutie little palette, especially with that lovely blackberry shade, which I think would work well with any gold shade. Lovely eye look too Christine.
Love the berry shades – but out of a 6 pan eyeshadow palette 4 are not intended for use in the immediate eye area! How utterly ridiculous. I have just had a major reaction to pressed pigments, bloodshot raw eyes, unable to open them, and in the morning crusted shut. Very scary experience. I am amazed at the number of brands now that include so many of these in an eyeshadow palette. Very disappointing
I hope you have checked out carmine allergies as well.
They are not intended for use in immediate eye area only in the USA though. They are perfectly fine in Europe.
I was hoping this would get a great review! Sadly, I have dupes galore for these kinds of shades, but this was the palette of the new Cutie releases I was most tempted by.
I adore your eye look! Gorgeous! I think this is such a beautiful palette. It really comes through with the berry theme.
