MAC The Fashion Flock Lipstick
MAC The Fashion Flock Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “bright pink-coral [with a Matte finish].” It’s a light-medium, pink-coral with warm undertones and a satin finish. It’s the more updated, velvety-smooth matte formula that glides on without tugging on the lips but has some shine to the end result for the first hour or so of wear. It was very pigmented, but the thicker consistency made it harder to apply without the thicker consistency gathering and emphasizing lip lines. The color lasted for four and a half to five hours, but there was noticeable settling into lip lines over time. It was neither drying nor hydrating when I wore it. MAC Flocking Fabulous Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “bright coral-red [with a Cremesheen + Pearl finish].” It’s a brighter, medium pink-coral with warm undertones and very fine gold pearl. It had mostly opaque coverage with a lightly creamy consistency that felt wet almost when applied but didn’t slide around the lips much (there were a few “lines” that were very slightly noticeable if I pressed my lips together, but the color/brightness seem to camouflage them a lot). It had mostly opaque coverage, though there’s translucency across the shade so the natural lip color can come through enough to influence the tone, brightness, or color of the end result somewhat if you have stronger natural lip color. The texture was lightweight, comfortable to wear, and lightly emollient without being too slippery. This shade lasted for four and a half hours on me and was neither hydrating nor drying. I don’t like Fashion Flock, not sure about the other 2, will have to swatch in store. Pink-based shades are so tricky on me, even a slight difference in color or undertone can make it look terrible on me. Love your eye look!

Thanks for helping me develop my eye, esp. for shades I’m not drawn to. It’s always easier to discern slight differences in shades you crave…you can spot the tiniest nuance. Much harder for not-my-bag shades. You have given me such an appreciation for coral shades. BTW, did you think you slipped in a look from the Zoeva Nude Spectrum, without us noticing? Spent lunch break on Zoeva, and saw many new fun things, including the cool palette. There’s certainly something for everyone, and nobody will have a problem making the flat rate shipping worth it. Swooning….. Not hinting much, or anything! Decided I could write this, when J wrote ‘Totally unrelated-‘. Today I’ve been nothing but tangential.
Yeah, Zoeva launched a pretty large collection with blush/eye palettes! It is a little pricey, I think, for the palettes, though.

I never thought I’d be particularly interested in MAC lipsticks again…until now! These all look gorgeous, although I’ve noticed that I have some of the listed dupes. I really love Nice to Meet you and Flocking Fabulous is a throw in for the name alone,LOL! Just kidding I think it’s really pretty. The Fashion Flock-I’m undecided. Those lighter corals, I feel like I don’t wear them too much. I need to look through the dupes. This is a lipstick heavy collection. MAC does lipsticks well generally. Knowing myself, if I go for all that I like and that rate good,I’ll buy them all and I don’t want to do that with that many!

I am absolutely getting The Fashion Flock Lipstick and Spring Flock Blush, even if I have to sell various body parts to do it. But I really want Be Silly Lipstick, What I Fancy Blush, and Flocking Fabulous Lipstick as well…plus Sunny Surprise Beauty Powder, Long Legged & Fabulous Lipstick, Have Your Cake Lipstick, Let’s Be Friends Blush, and Nice To Meet You Lipstick.

I really like both Flocking Fabulous and Nice to Meet You! I have (and like) Elegant Accent, but it doesn’t have any pearl, and looks a bit lighter. They’re going on my wish list. The Fashion Flock is too light to look good on me.
