FORMULA SUMMARY | MAC Vamplify Lipgloss ($20.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is supposed to have intense, vivid color paired with a moisturizing, glossy, long-wearing formula. Some shades are very pigmented while others are semi-opaque, and some shades apply evenly while others are more streaky. They have a light-medium thick consistency that’s not heavy or goopy, but it’s not really thin; however, they’re really smooth and creamy, so they feel nice on. There’s no tackiness initially, and it feels a lot like lip balm to me–soft, smooth, and my lips felt supple. I find they develop light to moderate tackiness as they wear on. They wear anywhere from three to five hours and are lightly to moderately hydrating over time. The formula has strong, vanilla scent (stronger than their lipsticks; I can smell it for a bit even when it is applied, not just in the tube) but no discernible taste.

Oh my..I have 14 on my wish list and all 3 of these are on it with A’s! Mac is making some good glosses and not making my decision making process easy! My wallet can’t afford that many at once!

On another note, Christine do you mind sharing the shade you use in the new MUFE HD formula? I picked up a sample last night. I love it, but my color seems a bit dark. (In the past I had good luck with the same shade in the Guerlain formula that you use. I will double check with the foundation grid and Sephora’s color IQ)

Okay, I was given 128 which actually works with just one layer right now. But, I do have some color form the sun still. I feel like if I built it up and once I loose some of the color it will be too dark. I probably will wait until I can try out another shade. Thanks!

These look great! Out of all 3, I really like the added depth of color in Flash Drive much more for going into autumn. I really wish that MAC would make this lipgloss formula PERMANENT!

Hmmmm….I’m having a hard time discerning the differences between these. I don’t have a great eye for color, though…..I have to rely on written reviews to choose the warm tones that are right for me; without guidance, I’ll pick the wrong things, because I can’t really detect cool from warm undertones. (Natch, this only applies in store, while I sample and then buy. Once I’m at home and rip off the packaging, I can see perfectly well that I’ve bought something that will look horrible on me :)!)
