Kaja Mochamallow Play Bento Sculpting Trio Review & Swatches
Mochamallow
Kaja Mochamallow Play Bento Sculpting Trio ($25.00 for 0.33 oz.) includes a powder blush, powder highlighter, and cream bronzer. The powder blush and highlighter were lovely–pigmented, blendable, and long-wearing–but the cream bronzer applied rather sheer in practice (and there was nothing that indicated the bronzer was sheerer/more buildable compared to the powder products).

Extra Pepper
Extra Pepper is a rich, medium-dark plum with warmer undertones and a matte finish. It had a soft, lightly powdery texture that was smooth and finely-milled, which ensured it applied evenly to bare skin and blended out without a fuss. The color showed signs of fading after eight and a half hours of wear.

Hot Chocolate
Hot Chocolate is a medium-dark brown with subtle, warm undertones and a mostly matte finish. It had a subtle sheen on my skin but wasn’t shimmery or that dewy. The texture felt lightly emollient and more balm-like–more like a traditional cream product–without a full dry down.
It seemed to have more semi-opaque coverage when I initially applied it, but the formula was very prone to sheering out and was quite sheer on me once blended out. I was able to build it up slightly but found it difficult to get more than semi-sheer coverage out of the product. It lasted well for eight hours before fading a bit.

Hey Hourglass, you see that? Three different combos with each designed for not only the usual lt.-medium catering shades, but one for med.-tan and one for dark-deep, too. THIS is how it’s done correctly!
This!
I reaaaallly dig that blush, but the rest wouldn;t work too well on my pale skin. Might just have to get Glossier Storm, then!
I like how this trio really does cater for medium to deeper skin tones. Other brand should take note.
