ColourPop The Mandalorian Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
The Mandalorian
ColourPop The Mandalorian 9-Pan Pressed Powder Palette ($14.00 for 0.32 oz.) is the brand’s newest Star Wars tie-in collaboration. The palette included five matte eyeshadows with four shimmery shades, and it ran slightly cooler-toned overall–relative to the plethora of very warm-toned palettes that exist. One of the matte shades–Nevarro Sand–was too powdery, while one shimmer–Beskar Steel–was a little drier to work with, but the eyeshadows were semi-opaque to opaque in coverage, blendable, and easy enough to use.

Beskar Steel
Beskar Steel is a pale silver with contrasting, pale gold shimmer that gave it more of a pewter-like hue with a more frosted finish. The texture felt slightly drier and more loosely-pressed in the pan, so there was light fallout during application. It had semi-opaque color payoff that stayed on nicely for seven and a half hours before fading a bit.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Beskar Steel
LELimited Edition. $4.50.
Nevarro Sand
Nevarro Sand is a bright, yellowy-orange with strong, warm undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was moderately powdery, so you’ll want to use a light hand to avoid fallout. It had opaque color payoff but was more prone to sheering out to semi-opaque coverage without a good primer underneath. This shade wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Clan of Two
Clan of Two is a rich, reddish-plum base with green-to-blue shifting pearl and a metallic sheen. The eyeshadow was intensely pigmented where a little went a very long way, likely due to the consistency being very smooth, lightly emollient but had great adhesion to bare skin with a dry brush. It wore well for eight hours before fading a bit.

This is the Way
This is the Way is a darker, grayish-taupe with muted, warm olive undertones and a matte finish. It had mostly opaque, buildable pigmentation paired with a thinner, slightly stiff texture that could have been more blendable and easier to pick up with a dry brush. It wore decently for seven and a half hours before fading visibly.

Creed
Creed is a deep brown with neutral-to-cool undertones and a matte finish. The texture was slightly powdery in the pan, so I’d use a lighter hand just to be sure of no fallout, but it had full color payoff that remained blendable on bare skin. It lasted well for eight and a half hours before fading a bit.

ooh, I might need this one.
A reasonably good mostly cool toned palette – Nevarro Sand is an oddity here, but the rest are cool shades. I did likethe Tatoone Glimmer shade – a gorgeous brown.
This is another ColourPop palette that I really kind of like. I am always looking for mostly cool toned shadows and several of these are really nice. I am not a fan of that ochre color but you can’t have everything. Also wish there was a shade light enough for under brow but again, it isn’t like I don’t have others I could pull. Does anyone know how shipping is going from ColourPop? I haven’t purchased from them for over a year and at the time, shipping was taking quite a while. Just curious if I would get it soon enough to utilize for Christmas.
I really love the more unique set of shades in this palette. I’m just not entirely sure how well I feel like they coordinate together. Also, must every other palette contain a red-brown-plum with a blue-green duochrome in it? It’s a shade that’s been done to death, IMHO.
This is an intriguing color assortment! I might have to get this one.
I think I would’ve liked this palette much more than last year’s The Child. Those greens just didn’t suit me, so I’ve never used it. As it stands, I don’t like the yellow Nevarro Sand shade or the red-green duochrome Clan of Two shade. Might as well get an early start on my New Year’s resolution to resist buying things with colors I don’t like!
Looks like a really nice cool travel palette. A shame that you pay the price double due to shipping where I am, so I stopped ordering years ago from them.
