Independent is a deep brown with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture was smooth, velvety, and somewhat powdery in the pan, but it applied evenly, blended out well, and wasn't prone to sheering out too readily. It had opaque pigmentation that wore nicely for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.
