Rubia is a medium-dark taupe with neutral-to-warm undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which built up easily to full coverage. The texture was soft, smooth, and blendable without being too powdery nor too firmly-packed into the pan. The color wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.
