ColourPop She's a Beach Babe Lip Bundle Review & Swatches
She's a Beach Babe
ColourPop She’s a Beach Babe Lip Bundle ($15.00 for oz.) is a new(ish by now), limited edition trio that features a lipgloss and two of the brand’s Ultra Blotted Lips. I really enjoyed the gloss on a personal level, since I like shimmery, high-shine glosses that go with most things, and while not perfect, the Ultra Blotted Lips formula is interesting and I can see why some really adore it over typical liquid matte lipstick formulations. These shades can be purchased individually for those who only like one or two of the shades!

Just Surfed
Just Surfed is a medium-dark copper gloss with more of a translucent base and a ton of fine, copper pearl and larger gold and copper sparkles. The medium-level coverage came more from the shimmer than the actual gloss base. It had a really high-shin, so paired with how much it sparkled, it had more depth than expected. The texture was smooth with a touch of tackiness, lightweight, and comfortable to apply and to wear, and I was impressed by how only a very tiny amount sat in my deepest lip line (but I couldn’t even tell in person as it was so shiny!). It wore well for four hours and was hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$10.00/0.11 oz. - $90.91 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "hi-shine" with a "non-sticky" texture that "feels amazing" and includes five finishes "from 3-D pearl to sheer tinted colour." They are designed to be a sheerer formula, so many shades are sheer with a smattering of shimmer or sparkle and then a few are more tinted with sheer to semi-sheer coverage but no shimmer. Each gloss has a short, brush-type applicator, which worked better than I expected and didn't leave streaky results behind (in general). They had a sweet, vanilla scent but no discernible taste.
The "Tinted" finish ("glass-like shine with tint of sheer colour and no shimmer") was the least consistent--sometimes prone to unevenness and getting into lip lines, particularly with deeper/richer shades, whereas Pearlescent ("glass-like shine with subtle shimmer") and Prismatic ("glass-like shine with floating multi dimensional pearl and glitters") are sheer to translucent with the major difference being finer shimmer in the Pearlescent finish and larger, more glitter-like particles in the Prismatic finish. Both finishes tended to look plush and more smoothing on my lips. The Creme finish is a "medium-coverage gloss with a creamy finish that does not contain any pearls or glitter." The Metallic is described as a "full-coverage gloss with a mix of pearl and metallic finishes."
The wear time varied by shade but the sheerer ones tended to wear between two and three hours as the formula was, indeed, non-sticky and smooth, which made them lighter-weight and comfortable to wear but shorter wearing. A lot of the sheerer shades ran together, so I would recommend just picking up one or two rather than several as the differences are likely to be lost! Also, keep in mind that sheerer lip colors can look different from person to person due to much of the natural lip color coming through.

Love Bite
Love Bite is a soft, muted coral with warm undertones and a flat, matte finish. The consistency was more watery and dried down rather thin and definitely had a flat, dry matte finish–almost dusty in a way. Even though I exfoliated my lips prior to swatching did not make the application flawless, as there were still imperfections on my lips that the formula highlighted. Surprisingly, it was rather comfortable to wear and I often forgot it was even on. It had semi-opaque coverage (and it’s supposed to have medium coverage) that lasted for four and a half hours and was neither drying nor hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$6.00/0.1 oz. - $60.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "medium coverage" and yield a "soft, diffused just-blotted look" that "dries matte, doesn't bodge, and feels soft and comfy on the lips." From the shades I've tried, the effect is exactly as described -- "a soft, diffused just-blotted look" with a matte finish. The consistency is thin but almost a little velvety as it spreads and dries down; it didn't feel as "wet" as most of their Liquid Lipstick formulas have. The formula dries down quickly and sets to a matte, transfer-resistant finish. The coverage varied from medium to semi-opaque, and the wear time was anywhere between four and six hours. The issue I have with them is the thinner, matte formula is more prone to emphasizing imperfections on my lips and lip lines. The formula is neither drying nor hydrating on me.

Party Wave
Party Wave is a medium-dark coral with warm, reddish undertones and a matte finish. It had medium coverage, just as described, that applied evenly and smoothly across my lips. The texture was thin, watery, and dried down quickly to a transfer-proof, matte finish. It didn’t emphasize my lip lines (though it didn’t smooth them out either) that was featherweight and comfortable to wear. This sahde stayed on well for four and a half hours and was non-drying.

A really pretty trio for the summer. Versatile shades too.
Having 4 listed dupes of Just Surfed, I’m leaving that alone! But that very last shade, Party Wave, looks like summer perfection when I want a no fuss, easy, pleasey lip that really doesn’t even look like lipstick, just very healthy lips.
I’ve been super intrigued by the liquid Blotted Lips since I like the stick Blotted Lips and am super into sheer looks right now. Thanks for reviewing! I think I’ll go for it and buy Love Bite.
Love this eye look you’re wearing!
