ColourPop Limoncello Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Limoncello
ColourPop Limoncello 12-Pan Pressed Powder Shadow Palette ($18.00 for 0.36 oz.) is a new, 12-pan palette featuring five shimmery eyeshadows and seven matte eyeshadows. It seemed to have a good range of depth and finishes, which made it more versatile.
The pop of blue fits the theme, I suppose, but it was harder to incorporate with the color story given how warm-toned the other shades were–but it was a very unique shade (which is hard to do). The quality of the palette was a pleasant surprise; the shimmers felt more emollient and smoother with less fallout than recent releases, while the mattes were soft and blendable without being overly powdery.

Tuscan Fun
Tuscan Fun is a light-medium brown with warmer, more orange undertones and a matte finish. It had opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which applied well to bare skin as it went on evenly and diffused well along the edges. The texture was a touch powdery in the pan, but it wasn’t prone to fallout or sheering out. This shade lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

This is a splendidly more unique offering from ColourPop. I’m definitely here for it! Sure, I could dupe most of the shades here… between roughly 5 different palettes. I think I’m too lazy and rundown for that. Plus, that blue! I’m not even a blue eyeshadow wearer, generally speaking, but this one is really special.
This reminds me a bit of the Dominque Cosmetics Rustic Glam palette. It’s so nice to see a quality palette from CP without the weird sequin shadows and glitters they seem to love to include.
I am not convinced that the names of shades fit so well the theme ‘limoncello’. They are a random mix of english and italian terms with no particular relevance with the liquor… But they fit what US customers are expecting from this theme, I guess. Because yes, in those days we talk about cultural appropiation in makeup and many representatives of those culture are (rightly ) upset about this, is there a culture that is as universally cliched as the Italian one? Oh, I am not taking this serious of course 😆 Let’s have a limoncello all together with the music of a mandolin (that I’ve never seen played by anyone, but I have to carry on the cliche, isn’t it?) in background🤣🤣🤣 PS: about the palette, I’ve initially thought that it was a boring colour story, but your look is amazing, so I think it is more particular that it sees at first glance. That blue is stunning!
Indeed! What’s considered Italian to those that are not vs. those that are is a world apart.
*toasting you with limoncello* (homemade of course!)
It reminds me a little of the brunch palette they had. I love the packaging on this one…it makes me smile! :o)
I LOVE that this doesn’t have matte with micro glitters. Unfortunately, even though I adore a Limoncello theme (I repurposed my limoncello ceramic shot glasses as succulent pots and am a sucker for anything citrus), I have enough warm browns from ColourPop in varying depths to last me years so I will not buy this. I just don’t need to add a bunch of the same shades that I already own. I do like Amalfi, Serenade, Capri, and La Festa (the “fun” shades for me that I don’t have exact dupes for) and if they get released as singles I’ll pick them up.
i bought this at launch based off your initial swatches! I am so glad it performed as well as I hoped and really looking forward to playing with it.
Not sure if Iwill try to get it, but I really love the colors for spring, such a happy vibe! Serenade is my favorite shade here, though I’d have called it lemonade 😉
This palette is so much better than I originally thought it would – so well done CP (and you can’t always say that!).
Whilst this palette is not for me, there are enough variations and distinct shades to create many eye looks. They did get that blue shade quite right, although I wish it were a shimmery one. Capri was my favourite shade.
I just received mine today and I agree the shimmers were on par! Silky and smooth. Also love the Biscotti lip gloss and the shadow stick in Citrus Squeeze is awesome too- love the bright orange yellow gold of it! And of course, the packaging.
Beautiful palette, and finally the quality we knew Colourpop could deliver! I’m loving the more ‘mature’ vibe of this palette and I hope we see more similar ones in the future.
I thought this would be too yellow for my tastes, but the bottom row is very tempting.
This is prettier and less neutral than I’d originally thought. I’m not planning on buying it, but I kind of like it.
