Heavy Petal

ColourPop Heavy Petal Lippie Stix ($7.00 for 0.0352 oz.) is a deep plum with subtle, cool undertones and a satin finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, moderately dense texture that was lightly tacky on my lips (but not heavy or uncomfortable to wear). The product applied evenly and didn’t emphasize lip texture or my lip lines. It lasted nicely for five and a half hours and felt lightly hydrating over time.

Formula Overview

$7.00/0.0352 oz. - $198.86 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to have "full coverage" with a "long-wearing, ultra comfortable" feel. Because there are quite a few finishes in the range, some of the results depend more on the finish.

The matte finish tends to be thinner, drier, and firmer in the tube, and they can, occasionally, tug on my lips noticeably during application, but usually have good pigmentation and long wear; they range from non-drying to somewhat drying.

The Creme finish has a creamier, more emollient quality to it that has excellent pigmentation, comfortable wear, and good wear time (four to six hours); it tends to be a little hydrating but occasionally suffers from issues where product gathers in lip lines or they don't go on as evenly as they could. There's a soft, sweet vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

Dancing Lady

ColourPop Dancing Lady Lippie Stix ($7.00 for 0.0352 oz.) is a rich, red burgundy with strong, cool undertones and a flat, matte finish. It had mostly opaque pigmentation that applied evenly to my lips, but there was slight product that settled into my deeper lip lines and a little bit that gathered around texture imperfections, though this wasn’t noticeable in person (from a normal viewing distance!).

The texture was smooth, velvety, and glided on comfortably without feeling traditionally creamy/wet. This shade stayed on well for over six hours, left a stain behind, and felt non-drying.

Orchis

ColourPop Orchis Lippie Stix ($7.00 for 0.0352 oz.) is a blackened burgundy with subtle, cool undertones and a cream finish with moderate shine. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation paired with a lightweight, moderately emollient texture that was slippery enough that it seemed prone to gathering around lip texture imperfections and clumping up as I applied it.

I would highly recommend exfoliating prior to apply this shade. It wore well for five and a half hours, left a stain behind, and felt lightly moisturizing over time.
