Editor's Review

The formula is supposed to have "full coverage" with a "long-wearing, ultra comfortable" feel. Because there are quite a few finishes in the range, some of the results depend more on the finish.

The matte finish tends to be thinner, drier, and firmer in the tube, and they can, occasionally, tug on my lips noticeably during application, but usually have good pigmentation and long wear; they range from non-drying to somewhat drying.

The Creme finish has a creamier, more emollient quality to it that has excellent pigmentation, comfortable wear, and good wear time (four to six hours); it tends to be a little hydrating but occasionally suffers from issues where product gathers in lip lines or they don't go on as evenly as they could. There's a soft, sweet vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

I've just tried this on and I'm torn; this is simultaneously incredibly flattering to my med-light, neutral skin, but also blazingly bright. I'm not by nature a pink lipstick wearer, but at 49 I'm realizing that reds are not my friends anymore. Perhaps a shift to this with a neutral eye on the proper day... I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to someone in the MAC 20NW realm who is seeking a flattering bold pink, just not sure that I'm that person. Note that it--and all the mattes/matte xs of this line--are quite drying.

Streamlined case with clear cap, similar to Topanga from this line. I use it midday to fill in or brighten up my lip color. Did not go on as well as others; agree on that, Christine. Nice vanilla scent. Great price and regular sales from CP are appreciated. Doesn't transfer easily. Always seeking a warm, not-too-dark terracotta.

A gentle clay coral color, very pigmented and a bit brighter than expected. This is a great midday fill-in lipcolor after lunch. I am trying some more of these, Parker and Brink, in my search for a light warm terracotta color that brightens up my pale face without being too bright, too dark, or too red. Pen-sized lipstick fits nicely in my small bag. Transfers a little, unlike the glam lux formulas, but not that much after a good blot.

Very pigmented and quite moisturising, I have lips with big dry patches and this helps in hiding them. The application was good but not the best, since it's so thick there were some tugs here and there. The colour is gorgeous: it's a neutral brown, very very slightly on the warm side. It's perfect for me because I dress goth/punk so I don't want warm lipsticks, but at the same time I'm a natural redhead with extremely pale skin and olive undertones, so cool-toned lipsticks look absolutely horrible on me. This shade hits exactly that sweet spot. The lipstick is scented, but it gave me no skin issues luckily (I have very sensitive skin, fragrances sometimes break me out). It's a bit sticky, but not too much.

I should have listened to Christine instead of the reviewers on the ColourPop site. The color is beautiful, but the lipstick is unforgiving, clinging to slightly dry patches and wearing off unevenly.

This shade applies beautifully and very true, as well as long-wearing - there were times I didn\'t need to reapply it after a meal. It\'s dryer (and more drying) in texture, so what I do is apply a bit of my preferred lip balm first. That makes it quite comfortable without hurting the wear-time.

I love the colour, and typical of the Lippie Stix line the pigmentation and wear time are great, but I found this shade a bit harder to use due to how creamy and thick it is. It's very soft, too, so be careful not to break the tip off. I suspect the weather is a factor here - this lippie stix may perform better in temperatures under 25C/77F.

Topanga is smooth and comfortable like most of the Lippie Stix in this formula. The color when applied is a lovely peachy/coral that leans quite orange on my skin tone. However, I don't like that as soon as the top layer wears off (or if I blot my lips) that it turns hot pink. I love a good stain, but not if the color of the staining is drastically different than the product upon original application.

Nice formula in many ways, highly pigmented, one swipe is plenty, and it has great staying power. However, the shade is not what I expected. I was hoping for dusty rose / mauve and it is too purple and too pigmented for my taste. Not subtle enough.

Great color! Definitely not coral, this is a true peach. Very flattering, too bad they don’t make it anymore.

Love this lippie! I get so many compliments on it. It is pretty much a dupe for MAC's Marrekesh too. It goes on smooth and doesn't feather.

Long wearing but tugs at my lips, and make my lip peel quite a bit. Very scented just like all the lippie stix. Will not repurchase from that line.

I love this lipstick so so much. As a fun fact, I got it because my cockatiel's name is Ziggy and I'm a sucker for coincidence. It also happened to be a shade I was looking for. It is ridiculously beautiful and I really believe it to be good for most skin tones. I cannot stop hyping about this lipstick.

Beautiful colour, a lovely warm-toned nude for light-medium skin tones. Reminds me more of a satin finish, which I prefer considering that mattes can be quite drying. Lasts quite long for a lipstick, maybe 4-6 hours. Only thing I don't like is that it can be a little hard to apply, the tube itself is great but the formula drags a little and is moderately thick on the lips. These are why it's so long-lasting, but if a heavier lipstick bothers you I wouldn't recommend this.

I read all the bad reviews, but I ignored them because I loved the color. I'd read that it didn't apply well, so I made sure to apply primer first. I opened the lipstick, twisted it up just a little, and the tip broke off and fell in the sink when I tried to apply it. That has never happened to me before. I tried to save the lipstick. I couldn't get it to spread in my lips. Not even with a lipstick brush. It got all over the brush. It got all over my hands. I tried lining my lips. It got all over the liner pencil. The color I did manage to get on my lips didn't match the pictures on this website or the Colourpop site. I love most of their stuff, but DON'T buy this lippie.

This is a great brown. It pulls more like a taupe on me but it's still super wearable. It's like a darker version of Tootsi and I love it - Tootsi is a touch too light on me but this is perfect. It's a fantastic nude-ish color for people who have medium skin.

This is such a wearable red! It looks a bit like a true red on me but the brown in it keeps it from being too bright and distracting. I have the pencil version and the true matte of it really helps the color sing. This is my favorite out of all the lighter reds I own. Such a showstopper.

So I have this in its pencil form and it works so much nicer than the lipstick does. It glides on nicely and it's super pigmented. I don't have the lipstick but I'm fairly positive that the liner would significantly help its application. I, however, like to wear the liner by itself - it's pigmented enough to stand by itself and it lasts through a meal with minimal fading. Basically, if you're buying the lipstick, buy this liner. If you're not buying the lipstick, still buy this liner. YOU NEED IT.

I was very nervous about ordering this, since I do usually tend to stick to the classic lip colors. I did it though, since I was ordering from CP anway and it's 5 dollars so what the heck. It's a gorgeous shade of emerald, and I think it would flatter anyone. It's just the tiniest bit shimmery, not overbearing, just a little added depth with the glitter. It comes off a bit cool on me, but perhaps with a different skin tone it would be more neutral. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to try a risky lip color, since it's cheap and is good quality. Next up, Melt Spacecake!
