Chanel Muted Fuchsia & Chestnut Rouge Allure Velvet Extremes Reviews & Swatches
Muted Fuchsia (124)
Chanel Muted Fuchsia (124) Rouge Allure Velvet Extreme ($38.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a deep berry with cool undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had good color payoff in one stroke, which applied evenly and wasn’t prone to emphasizing my natural lip texture (something that I’ve found to occur more often with these more velvet-matte type formulas). The lipstick had a very lightweight feel on my lips, and there was glide but it didn’t feel wet or overly creamy, so it didn’t slide around while worn. It lasted nicely for over six hours and felt non-drying over time.

Formula Overview
$40.00/0.12 oz. - $333.33 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to "glide smoothly onto lips with intense, longwearing colour" that is "non-drying." It is a comfortable formula with its velvety glide--smooth, creamy without being wet or slippery, and forgiving of most lip texture/lip lines.
The finish is more semi-matte, though it will wear to a truer matte finish by blotting or after an hour or so of wear. They have semi-opaque to opaque coverage that applied evenly and stayed on well for five to six hours and did not feel drying (I actually found them ever-so-slightly hydrating).

Chestnut (122)
Chanel Chestnut (122) Rouge Allure Velvet Extreme ($38.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark, reddish-brown with moderate, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without tugging. The texture was velvety, lightweight, and smooth without being emollient–felt more like a silicone-heavy primer as it glided over my lips. It wore well for five and a half hours and was neither drying nor hydrating over time.

These shades look lovely!!
Muted Fuchsia is gorgeous! But I will resist.
Its name belies its beauty; Muted Fuchsia is one stunning, cheerful looking berry! The “fuchsia” in its name is a little confusing, I’ve got to admit. Anywho, I love it!
Wow – I simply love the Chestnut shade – my kind of lipstick.
I thought so, too, especially when I saw the dupes, and the ones I did not score due to overdupedom. This post, like so many, reminds me of how gorgeous Christine looks in any color.
Christine muted fuchsia looks lovely on you. Very beautiful color. When will you be able to review Chanel holiday LE lipsticks? I am really waiting for the review of the darkest one Chanel rouge allure 857 rouge noble. I hope you will be able to review it soon as itโs getting sold out where I live.
I did a little, “OoooOOOoooh!” when I saw Chestnut. Then I saw that Maybelline Coffee Addiction is a 95% dupe — makes sense, since that is a favorite of mine!
Well, don’t need to get this one while the tube of Coffee Addiction is still going strong…
Wow – Chestnut is beautiful! I’m curious how similar it is to some of my Uouma beauty lipsticks.
