Chanel Duo No. 02 Les Beiges Healthy Glow Multi-Colour
Chanel Duo No. 02 Les Beiges Healthy Glow Multi-Colour ($65.00 for 0.39 oz.) is supposed to be used as a highlighting and contouring powder duo that gives a “sheer, natural finish.” Between the two duos offered, this is the “better” one, but it still falls noticeably short when it comes to being blendable and easy to use. I just think that the texture is far too firm, too stiff, and it translates into application, which is where it really counts. For some, this might be a happy accident, but the darker “contour” shade here is far from “sheer.”
No. 02 (Top) is a very light beige with subtler, warmer undertones and a fine shimmer-sheen finish. The texture was softer than the other shade’s highlighter, though it was still firmer and required a denser brush (I used a blush brush–most of my highlighter-centric blushes were too feathery/soft). It blended out decently and yielded a soft sheen that didn’t emphasize pores. It lasted for seven hours on me before fading. Cle de Peau Delicate Pink (14) (P, $55.00) is lighter (95% similar). MAC Lightscapade (P, $34.00) is lighter (95% similar). Laura Mercier Highlight 01 (P, ) is less shimmery (95% similar). MAC Climax (LE, ) is lighter, cooler (90% similar). Cle de Peau Bal Masque (LE, $120.00) is lighter, cooler (90% similar). Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight (P, $44.00) is less shimmery, lighter (95% similar). MAC Sparkling Rose (LE, $26.00) is more shimmery, darker (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
No. 02 (Bottom) is a bright, medium-dark coral-red with warm, orange undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had semi-opaque color payoff with a stiffer consistency in the pan, which made it harder to blend out and get it to look even/diffused on the skin. The color did wear for eight hours, which was an upside! Smashbox Geranium (LE, ) is darker, cooler (95% similar). Surratt Beauty Brillante Idée (P, $32.00) is warmer (95% similar). NARS Boys Don't Cry (LE, $41.00) is darker, warmer (95% similar). NYX Tuscan (P, $6.50) is cooler (95% similar). ColourPop Fruit Stand (DC, $8.00) is cooler (95% similar). ColourPop Never Been Kissed (LE, $8.00) is darker, more muted (90% similar). NARS Savage (P, $30.00) is darker, more muted (90% similar). Urban Decay Slowburn (LE, ) is darker, brighter, warmer (90% similar). Fenty Beauty Daiquiri Dip (P, $20.00) is glossier (90% similar). Sephora Oh My Gosh (10) (P, $14.00) is darker, warmer (90% similar). Zoeva CR010 (P, ) is more muted, cooler (90% similar). MAC Painted Canyon (LE, $24.00) is cooler (90% similar). ColourPop Rumours (P, $7.00) is darker, warmer (85% similar). ColourPop Luv Me Not (LE, $12.00) is less shimmery, lighter, cooler (85% similar). Chanel Tweed Coralline (LE, $45.00) is lighter, cooler (85% similar). Dior 999 (P, $48.00) is more shimmery, lighter, cooler (85% similar). Chanel Presage (62) (DC, $38.00) is lighter, warmer (80% similar). Guerlain Peach Boy #1 (P, ) is warmer (90% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

I have mixed feelings on the product because I really like the color and then delicate finishes. if it was half the price, I’d probably roll the dice and get it. If it was perfect then $65 seems fair. I’m surprised Chanel missed the mark so hard when most of their products are good quality and luxe. They always feel to expensive for me even they are perfect but I’m just too $$$ conscious these days!
If the texture and blendability were better, I could definitely see it being a winner!
Hmm, I’m not sure how anyone can use that coral orange as a contour powder, but at this price point, this needs an A. Both colors are very dupe-able for far less – I already have CP Fruit Stand, wearing it today, very brightening for face 🙂
I have no explanation for the coral at all!
Ugh, that’s heart breaking, it’s so pretty! Such a shame about the stiffness.
I agree 🙁
The coral blush looks stunning on you Christine. I looked at this while I was in Seattle this past week and came close to buying it but decided to wait until you reviewed it. I am glad I waited. I will have to check out the dupes as I love the color. Those MUG eye-shadows are beautiful. Your eye look with them is amazing. Hope you have a nice weekend.
Thank you, Deborah!
Even though it’s a PITA to apply, I gotta say it looks great once on! Funny how that can work, huh?
Sooo, as a result, I can definitely see either NYC Tuscan (been on my list for awhile already!) or Colourpop Fruit Stand becoming mine in the very near future! I do wish that Ulta sold the Nyx one IN-STORE, though.
Well, you know, with enough work… haha 😉
I love that bright coral color, but the stiff formula at this price point makes it a pass.
I was really surprised!
Thank you for reviewing this! I almost bought it…skipping it now.
No problem, Catherine!
The colors are just gorgeous! Not spending Chanel money for mediocre product though. Thankfully there are dupes!
Phew 😀
Again, pretty colours but not worth the expense. A shame really for Chanel.
Well-said, Genevieve!
This looks gorgeous on you, Christine. I’m crushed that the product is poor because both shades are lovely. Why, Chanel? Whhhhyy?!
I know, right?? They usually do a good job on powders!
I”m sorry this didn’t work for you!!! I actually really love this duo on me. I use my blush brush to sweep the highlight into the blush (aka mixing the two) and tap it on. On my skin (pale with pink undertones), it gives a really beautiful glow-from-within look. I guess the difference is I’m so pale that I don’t NEED a lot of color payoff. hahaha
The coral is actually too pigmented based on the marketing!
I think the color is really beautiful 🙂 x
Glad you l iked it!
I like the highlighter part in this duo gives the most natural sheen to the skin.
It does have a good finish!
Hi,
How would you compare this with becca’s snapdragon? The coral color looks really similar.
Thanks!
