Bite Beauty Violet Icing Crystal Crème Shimmer Lip Crayon ($24.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a medium-dark lavender with flecks of silver and lavender pearl and larger sparkle. It had semi-opaque pigmentation but could not be built up to full coverage. The texture was lightweight, thin but not clingy, and emollient without being wet, though this shade applied the most poorly out of the shades initially released. The color gravitated toward my lip lines and did not apply evenly overall. It lasted for four hours and was lightly hydrating while worn.

The new formula is supposed to offer shimmer and bold color that's "long-wearing" and "smooth-gliding." The majority of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation in one stroke. The texture is typically smooth and velvety without feeling wet or particularly cream-like, but they don't drag as I used them for all-over color. They have more of a semi-matte to matte finish in terms of shine, but obviously they have quite a bit of shimmer ranging from fine shimmer to shimmer with slight to moderate sparkle. They did manage to keep everything feeling quite smooth, as I didn't notice the shimmer when I pressed my lips together. The formula was comfortable to wear and lasted between four and six hours on me. They had a slight, lemony scent with a very subtle, almost sweet taste (but I barely detected the taste).
They are inspired by the brand's Matte Creme Lip Crayons, which are creamy, highly-pigmented larger pencils that have more of a satin to semi-matte finish. In comparison, the Shimmer Lip Crayons have a similar glide and comfort going on my lips, but they have less creaminess and no satin sheen. They don't feel quite as hydrating as the Matte Creme Lip Crayons, and thus far, the Shimmer finish tends to wear slightly shorter in time.

Bite Beauty Grape Glaze Crystal Crème Shimmer Lip Crayon ($24.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a rich berry with cool undertones and violet and bluish pearl. It had medium pigmentation, where the base had noticeable translucency but seemed to apply quite evenly, but the shimmer was more “on top” in look and did not seem to distribute as evenly as it did for other shades. The texture felt similar as other shades, though: smooth, velvety but not wet, and thinner but not clingy. It wore well for five hours and was lightly moisturizing over time.

Bite Beauty Fuchsia Frosting Crystal Crème Shimmer Lip Crayon ($24.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a deep fuchsia pink with subtle, cool undertones and a sparkling, lightly metallic finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage that adhered evenly and smoothly on my lips. The consistency was lightweight, thin but not clingy, and there was just a touch of emphasis of my lip lines from the more frosted finish. It stayed on nicely for five and a half hours and felt lightly hydrating to me.

I still really love the looks of Violet Icing, and don’t have a dupe for it. I love the other two shades, but luckily I have dupes.

I will! It’s supposed to arrive tomorrow (I ordered a couple liquids so I didn’t get Flash shipping, boo!). We’re not going out for NYE, so I may just play with makeup and come up with a crazy purple look for funsies.
Such interesting and quite pretty shades! Grape Glaze is something I could see myself enjoying wearing. I love how it is brighter and has more brilliant shimmer compared to my tube of UD Plague.
Fuchsia Icing is no slouch, either. Looks fantastic on you!
Fuschia Frosting is a pretty shade and it’s a shame that the others weren’t as good.
Violet Icing is really pretty, though it’d be more of a costume shade for me than an everyday thing

Violet Icing is giving me strong “dead girl” vibes — I want! The base color is actually very close to the color of my lips when I’m cold and tired, and despite the rating, I’m intrigued. None of the “dupes” are actually dupes, and I don’t have anything like it; I see myself getting this one.
