Bite Beauty Orange Fizz & Sangria Slush Outburst Longwear Lip Stains Reviews & Swatches
Orange Fizz
Bite Beauty Orange Fizz Outburst Longwear Lip Stain ($24.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a bright, red-orange with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had good color coverage in a single layer, which could be built up to full coverage with less than half of a layer more. The color applied evenly but did seem to separate a bit along my lip lines and did catch on small imperfections on my lips (and as always, I exfoliated prior to taking photos!). The texture was very lightweight, thin, and firmer in the tube, but it didn’t tug on my lips and just needed slightly firmer pressure during application.
The color turned a bit pinker over the next several hours, and as more of the product wore away and revealed the stain part of the formula, it was less orange and more coral-red and eventually wore off enough that it was reddish-pink kind of stain (less orange). The more “lipstick” like part of the formula stayed on well for five hours, while the stain started to look faded after an additional three hours of wear. Of the three shades launched, this had the least long-wearing stain as it was mostly gone after a second meal. It was very long-wearing and surprisingly comfortable for an all-day color–not deeply hydrating but more lightly hydrating and good at moisture retention from what I could tell!

Formula Overview
$24.00/0.07 oz. - $342.86 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be a "high-impact, low-maintenance lip stain" with "vibrant, bold color" and a "satin-matte finish." In the initial launch at least, there are only three shades available, and while they were noticeably different initially, they all tended to have more of a fuchsia-like stain left behind that looked more similar than not. Each shade was intensely pigmented with semi-opaque to opaque coverage in a single layer. The consistency was firmer, thinner, and felt almost gel-like as they applied to my lips, and they didn't drag but did need firmer pressure compared to their other lip products (not in a painful or uncomfortable way).
The product was quick to stain, and the stain itself was intense and richer with more coverage--by no means a faint stain or anything resembling a light stain leftover from a more pigmented red lipstick or the like. The stain lingered and lingered into the next morning for two shades, which I had to remove by using a microfiber cloth and remover to get most of the product off.
This product, in general, will work better for someone who is less concerned about wearing drastically different colors from day to day as a result of how long-wearing the stain portion was. The issue I had was that after a second meal, the stain was noticeably uneven and not something I'd want to keep wearing. The lip colors seemed to last five to six hours, while the stain certainly went on and on and was "decent" in how it appeared for another five to seven hours (depending on what one ate/drank and how often). I'd recommend reapplication at that point or tapping some more on the center of lips and blending outward if good wear is necessary for more than that length of time.
They were comfortable to wear, lightly hydrating in the way that it seemed to help my lips retain their moisture over time without adding enough hydration that my lips felt better after 12+ hours of wearing a shade. They had a faint, sweet, lemony scent but no discernible taste. Also, the product is not transfer-proof, but the stain itself is transfer-resistant (some will come away on a napkin).

Sangria Slush
Bite Beauty Sangria Slush Outburst Longwear Lip Stain ($24.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a medium-dark red with subtle, cool undertones and a satin finish. It had good pigmentation that applied evenly in a single layer and could be built up to fuller coverage with a second layer. The texture was lightweight, thin without being clingy, and had a firmer feel in the tube but only needed firmer pressure to apply without tugging (and it was never uncomfortable to apply!).
The more “lipstick” like part of the formula wore well for five and a half hours before it seemed like more of the lip stain was coming through, which appeared as a deeper fuchsia (much like Strawberry Froze appears to begin with). The stain stayed on well for another six hours but started to look uneven/splotchy after my second meal, though there was still significant (if patchy) staining left behind into the next morning, which was when I used a cloth and remover to scrub off the remainder. The formula felt lightly hydrating overall, as my lips did not feel dry after wearing it all day long.

Love these…hope they come out with more colors!
Do I need another red? Nope. Am I still hardcore tempted by Sangria Slush? Absolutely.
As others have said, I hope they come out with more shades!
Yessss! I’m thrilled I don’t have any orange-red shades in my “moderate” lipstick stash. I almost caved and got the Lunar New Year LE packaging for MAC Lady Danger but now I’m glad I saved a “spot” for Orange Fizz!
Call me flabbergasted, but even though I own a virtual hoard of red lipsticks, there is nothing I own that remotely dupes Sangria Slush!
As for Orange Fizz, which is the one I really had my eye on, I’m guessing that it might be a little too close to MAC Lady Danger or UD Tilt? Except for the fact that Orange Fizz won’t give me the dreaded “butt-hole” lips as it wears away!
Gorgeous, bright shades for all year round.
Definitely need them to come out with less bold colors that I could wear during the day. If they release a dusty rose, terracotta, or peachy pink in this line I’ll be the first in line to try it out!
Wow, these are gorgeous! I ordered Strawberry Froze. If I like the formula, I’ll probably end up buying these, too.
I’m glad these got good grades from you. I had a hunch and got strawberry and sangria the first day they were available and fell in love. I normally don’t wear warm colors (and definitely not orange) so I passed on orange fizz originally even though I was tempted. I swatched it at Sephora on Friday and it looked pinker on my hand, but I wasn’t convinced and thought it was just the lighting until seeing your review that it does wear down a little pinker than you’d expect, so your review convinced me to take the plunge and order it today. I think I’m going all in on bright lips this summer.
