Soil (213CM) is a dark, reddened brown with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation with a smooth, slightly thinner texture (compared to most of the recent Creamy Matte shades). The eyeshadow applied evenly and blended out with little effort, though, so I think having it build up ended up making it easier to use overall. It stayed on well for eight and a half hours before starting to fade noticeably on me.
