Anastasia Icy Eyeshadow

Anastasia Icy Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.06 oz.) is an icy, bluish silver with cool undertones and a metallic sheen. It had semi-opaque coverage with a really dense consistency–it felt a little cream-like, but it was firm enough that getting pigmentation out of it was harder. Anastasia Mermaid Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a blackened teal with subtle, cool undertones and a pearly sheen. It had so-so color payoff–not nearly as intense as it appeared in the pan–with a blendable consistency that ran a little dry. On me, the color lasted for seven and a half hours. Anastasia Midnight Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.06 oz.) is an intense, deep black with silver sparkle. FORMULA OVERVIEW | Anastasia Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.06 oz.) is supPosed to be a “finely-milled, highly-pigmented” powder eyeshadow. The brand has a large range of individual eyeshadows that are available as pan-only (no compact to hold them); if you purchase four, you’ll get a 4-well palette for $40 ($10 per eyeshadow), or purchase eight and get an 8-well palette for $70 ($8.75 per eyeshadow). The palettes are thick cardboard palettes with tabs on the side for easy removal/rearranging. There are several different finishes, and the performance can be better or worse depending on the finish, though it also ranges from shade to shade. On average, the formula is semi-opaque to opaque, lightly dusty to buttery, wears seven to nine hours, and is fairly blendable. The Metallic and Titanium finishes seem to be the best-performing to me, but there are some really standout mattes and shimmers as well. I have not tried the sparkle, satin, or velvet finishes as extensively as the other finishes, personally.

P.S. — That’s all she wrote! I’ve reviewed all the Anastasia eyeshadows that I have.

I swatched Rosette in store, and immediately put it on my buy list, the color and formula were excellent. Love your eye look! The ABH quad I’m making has similar colors, browns , plums, and pinks 🙂

Midnight is going on my wishlist — I like that it’s cooler than MUFE ME104 Black Diamond. Icy and Mermaid are mild disappointments; I’ll just stick with my favorite, ME202 Iceberg Blue, and dark blues that lean more violet than teal. Thanks for the reviews!

Love these colors, all of them. I wish you could do a video with you applying eyeshadow. I love the subtlety of the way you blend your shadows and would love to see you actually apply it.

It’s nice to see these ABH shadows getting fairly strong reviews from you lately! I’ve been wanting to add them to my collection, and I’m really impressed by how many of them score! Thanks as always for your thorough reviews 🙂

Hi! I know this is an older post, but I just saw this Rosette eye look and I want to try and recreate it exactly. Would you mind describing the placement of all the colors? Thanks!!
