Impulse is a deep, bluish-teal with a black base and a pearly sheen. It was richly pigmented and had a smoother texture that was dense but not quite as thick as other shades in the palette. I found the texture to be easier to work with on the lid and was more readily blended out. The color showed signs of creasing after eight hours of wear.
