Black Metal is a medium-dark black with warm, brown undertones and silver sparkle. Using it with a dampened brush yielded the most intense, smoothest results, though the brand recommended "pressing" the eyeshadow "with your fingertip" to get to the "desired sparkling intensity" (read: buildable). When used dry, it had more medium, buildable coverage and was more prone to having sparkle fallout during application. Applied with fingertips, it seemed to yield similar results as using it dry--buildable coverage and shimmer. It wore well for eight and a half hours on me.
