New Must-Have Beauty Products | 2019
There are a lot of shades to love from those reviewed in 2019, but what are the products that I’d like to add to my vanity (or my mental must-haves section of my “makeup library” as my vanity doesn’t fit everything I’d like it, too!). Think of these as the products that I remember fondly; they’re the ones that come to mind if you said, “Christine, wear whatever you want today, you don’t have to test a thing!”
These are products that I reviewed or rediscovered in 2019 that I want to make more accessible so I can use them at least a few times in 2020, but the list below features mostly newer products that tickled my fancy.
Products like Milk Makeup Blitzed, Fenty Beauty Wattabrat, Fenty Beauty Afternoon Snack/Mo’ Hunny, and Natasha Denona Icy Nude/Pink Champagne are already in or on my vanity and have been since their initial launches. I’ve routinely reached for Natasha Denona Biba and Nude palettes since their debuts, and I suspect that Pat McGrath Nocturnal Nirvana will be one to return to while I’ve rediscovering Sydney Grace’s Autumn’s Reign palette in the last couple of months.
I’m going to have to go through my vanity and pull out some old favorites to make room for a few others on this list. One thing I know about myself, and what products I didn’t end up using as much as I thought I would from 2018 in 2019… these products must be accessible; so those lip products need to be my vanity drawer or else I’ll forget and/or be too lazy and use something in the drawer already.

Thankyou for this heavenly list. I really liked the Cover FX blush duo range myself, the peach one was my favourite. The Going Coconuts palette by CP was a welcome departure from their usual shades. Lots to love this year.
Happy New Year Christine to you and your family. Thank you for the hard work you do and I hope that this year will be good one for you.
I have 5 of the above mentioned, and totally love each one! Especially lovely are 2 highlighters that shift gold from coral or icy pink: ND Pink Champagne and MJ Jet Girl. And PMG’s Nocturnal Nirvana allows me to put the Aurora Borealis on my lids!
I can see that the next time I visit the US I’m going to be making a HUGE Sydney Grace order!
I love this post! With everything that you have access to, it’s super interesting to see what you keep on hand. Thanks for sharing Christine!
It has been long since I wrote a review of anything, so after some pondering I decided to write it down here.
I really really really cannot recommend Going Coconut this palette, and Colorpop this brand as a whole anymore. I bought it in the first hour when going coconut is released, and I had such high hope for the beautiful colors, but the two metallics and one shiny matte color turned out to be the worst I ever experienced. In your photo, the champagne metallic looks fine, but mine is really lousily pressed and this results in absolute 0 pigmentation and insane patchiness. It is NOT USABLE at all. The white metallic is pigmented, but it is also insanely patchy like the base color is completely separated when swatches. The brown matte with some sparkle has more fallout than any shade in the abh subculture.
Sure, I told myself this maybe is just a bad batch and this is not how colorpop usually does it. But the more I look at their frenzy releases, the more I question them and wonder whether this incident is a one time thing or not. I know a $12 pallete ain’t pat McGrath, but buying a pallete with only 2/3 shades usable is not acceptable to me. Since colorpop does not offer any customer service after selling, I can just looked at my palette and be sad, and also, be curious about how much the quality would go down continuously in exchange for the fastest pace of cheap PET glitters releases.
Sorry colorpop, but bye sister.
