Cover FX Spiced Cinnamon Monochromatic Blush Duo Review & Swatches
Spiced Cinnamon
Cover FX Spiced Cinnamon Monochromatic Blush Duo ($38.00 for 0.51 oz.) includes a richer, deeper coral with a matte finish paired with a shimmering, more mid-tone coral with both shades running warmer, more red-orange than pink or full-on orange. They performed well; they were pigmented, long-wearing, and easy to apply and blend out.

The duo includes both a "monochromatic matte and shimmer shade" that can be used "individually or layer[ed] together." The blushes are described as having "high-impact payoff" with no other specifics. The consistency of the matte shades was incredibly silky, finely-milled, and smooth without being powdery--they were thinner but not difficult to apply and sat well on bare skin as well as over foundation. The pigmentation ranged from semi-opaque to opaque and was definitely buildable.
Both the matte and shimmer products wore between eight and nine hours on me.

Spiced Cinnamon (Left)
Spiced Cinnamon (Left) is a medium-dark coral with strong, warm undertones and a mostly matte finish. It had good pigmentation that was buildable to full coverage with less than half of a layer more. The texture was soft, smooth, and velvety to the touch without being powdery or dusty. The blush applied evenly to my skin and blended out with little effort for a seamless, skin-like finish. It wore well for nine hours on me before fading noticeably.

Spiced Cinnamon (Right)
Spiced Cinnamon (Right) is a medium-dark coral with strong,w arm undertones and fine, gold and pink pearl that gave it a luminous finish. The consistency was smooth to the touch, dense without being too firmly pressed in the pan, and soft without being powdery. This shade had opaque pigmentation in a single layer, but it was easy to dial down the pigmentation with a lighter hand or less-dense brush as well. It applied evenly to my cheeks, blended out easily along the edges, and the more I buffed it into my skin, the smoother and more glowing the finish appeared. It stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours on me before fading slightly.

The shimmery shades were slightly firmer with more of a powder-gel hybrid consistency that is firmer, denser but is often smoother and more "melted" when applied and blended out on skin. For this type of formula, I'd recommend a moderately dense blush or highlighter brush. Most of the shimmery shades had a luminous sheen--smoother, shinier finish but not intense or metallic. I found that layering the matte over the shimmer to yield a more intense shimmer effect, which is more of a tip from me to you than a pro/con.
Both the matte and shimmer products wore between eight and nine hours on me.

Wonderful! This and the plum are my favorites.
Because I have MAC Spring Flock along with Nars Bowery and CP Drop Of A Hat, I suppose I’m covered. Yet, I really do love that in the duo both shades are together instead of in different drawers, with one having gone MIA!
This was the one I thought I would like the most! Purchased this one last week.
This is a beautifully toned warm shaded coral. Very pretty.
What an amazing coral! I have dupes, but this one seems a little extra special, although too pigmented for me. I love the shade on you, Christine.
I actually picked this up and swatched this at Ulta when I had a 20% off coupon recently but put it back and didn’t get it… after seeing this review and looking at your face swatches I am SO bummed that I didn’t grab this. I think this would look so pretty when I get a little tan in the summer. I am adding this to my list to pick up the next time I have a coupon.
