MAC Nude Fudge, Sumac, Sunset Rose Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Nude Fudge
MAC Nude Fudge Lipstick ($17.50 for 0.10 oz.) is a medium plum with warm undertones and a satin finish. The pigmentation was opaque in one, fluid stroke with a lightly creamy texture that was a little thicker, so it covered well, but did not feel heavy nor did it emphasize my lip lines. It was easy to apply and wore well for five and a half hours, though it was neither drying nor hydrating over time.

MAC Lipstick comes in a variety of finishes, and the pigmentation and wear tend to be dependent on the finish. The sheer finishes, like Lustres, tend to wear for only a couple of hours and have sheer coverage (as designed) and are non-drying.
Some of the original Matte shades have a stiffer, drier formula, while newer ones have a more velvety, silicone-feel to them, and the latter are creamier, more comfortable to wear, and easier to apply, but most Matte shades are quite pigmented and long-wearing, though some are drying.
The Amplified and Satin finishes tend to have good pigmentation, lightly creamy to moderately creamy consistencies with a bit of shine, and moderate to long wear with deeper, richer shades wearing longer. The Frost and Metallic finishes have the most variance between shades with coverage ranging from semi-sheer to opaque with average wear and non-drying to slightly drying formulas. All MAC lipsticks are vanilla-scented but have no discernible taste.

Sumac
MAC Sumac Lipstick ($17.50 for 0.10 oz.) is a deep plum with subtle, cool undertones and a satin finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage in a single layer, which was hard to build up as the color did not adhere evenly and had a tendency to slip into my lip lines. The texture was lightewight and did not seem overly emollient, despite the poorer application. It lasted for five and a half hours, but it further settled into my lip lines over time and was non-drying.

Sunset Rose
MAC Sunset Rose Lipstick ($17.50 for 0.10 oz.) is a soft, medium pink with warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It had good pigmentation with a lightweight, lightly creamy texture that was thin without being clingy or prone to gathering in my lip lines. The color went on evenly and stayed on well for four and a half hours. The formula felt lightly hydrating while worn.

I knew without a doubt that I would love Nude Fudge, obviously then, I must have dupes! Yep, Retro.
What took me by surprise, is how much I love Sunset Rose! But I have Marque… different enough, I wonder?
Sounds like I’m getting Sunset Rose, maybe even 2 or 3 for backups. Im desperate for a good workhorse pink in a formula that’s to my liking. It’s a hard thing for me to find. I’m hoping the formula is like the one cremesheen I own, Brave Red. I know not all cremesheens are created equal.
All of those lipsticks are lovely shades, but as a pink lipstick, I liked Nude Fudge the best.
Nude Fudge is so gorgeous! I’m sure I have something like it, but… it’s just so perfect! <3
I was waffling on Sunset Rose, finally threw it into my cart, hoping it’s not too light for me. Guess I can always add a lipliner to darken if I need to. Thanks for the review and swatch!
Sunset Rose is very pretty, but I already have Creme in Your Coffee, which looks pretty close.
Sunset Rose looks really pretty. I might get that *and* Skew, since I’ve been on a pink lip fix lately. I’m sad that MAC seems to have discontinued Marque!
Sunset Rose looks like such a pretty everyday shade!
Nude Fudge is really pretty!
I purchased the Nude Fudge. I really love it; although on me, it looks like a deep nude, rather than a plum color. But, it goes on like a dream, without tugging on or drying out my lips. I am fair-skinned, with light blue eyes, and reddish-brown hair. I paid it with a smoky blue eye look. Super pretty. A great nude, if you are in the market for one.
I love Sunset Rose!!! So pretty!
