Chanel Beige Ardent (237) Rouge Allure Velvet ($38.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a muted, medium plum with moderate, warm undertones and a satin finish with a barely-there pearl. It was more "matte" than shimmery, but it seemed to have fine pearl throughout. The texture felt lightweight, thin but not clingy, and smooth with a more velvety consistency as it glided across my lips.
It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that went on evenly and didn't emphasize my lip lines or lip texture. It lasted nicely for four and a half hours and felt lightly moisturizing while worn.
