Exhibition

Urban Decay Exhibition Vice Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a medium-dark magenta purple with warmer, pink undertones and a satin finish. It had excellent pigmentation that covered the lips evenly and smoothly. The texture was smooth, creamy, and almost velvety–it was a little thicker but still creamy enough to apply easily and feel lightweight on the lips. It wore well for five hours and was lightly hydrating, though there was a bit of color that had gravitated toward my deeper lip lines over time.

Formula Overview

$18.00/0.11 oz. - $163.64 Per Ounce

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.11 oz.) is available in six finishes, which are primarily distinguished by level of sheen, shimmer content, and coverage. I didn't notice any scent or taste. Mega Mattes are the thinnest and have the most β€œcling” as they are drier and more matte (but most are semi-matte and not a totally flat matte) and can be drying, though they are longer-wearing.

Comfort Mattes are creamier, a little denser, with richer color payoff on average (they are the most pigmented out of the finishes), and have a satin finish that is fairly comfortable to wear, usually lightly hydrating, and longer-wearing.

Creams are usually softer and creamier, though not too soft (they don’t mush or break from the base easily), with some being tackier and stiffer in the tube until they warm up against the lips; they have good color payoff, are hydrating, and are comfortable to wear but have more typical wear (four to six hours–six hours for deeper/richer shades like a red).

Sheers and Sheer Shimmers have a more balm-like consistency that feels a little thinner but is wetter/more emollient than Mega Mattes, so ultimately, they feel quite different applied; they have sheerer coverage, though more semi-sheer to semi-opaque than very sheer, and have the shortest wear time at two to fours with light hydration.

Metallized is the most shimmery of the finishes, though some of the other finishes have shades that are actually as shimmery (to me), but the Metallized formula has a thinner, more emollient base that isn’t as dense or as cream-like as the Creams; they feel more like the Sheers but a bit heavier and more pigmented (but seem to run semi-opaque to opaque, not always fully opaque) with average wear (four to five hours), light hydration.

Caliente

Urban Decay Caliente Vice Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a bright, medium-dark fuchsia pink with subtle, cool undertones and a glossy, cream finish. It had good pigmentation in a single stroke, but the creamier, more emollient texture made it seem a bit slippery on and caused color to move around a bit. This resulted in areas that just didn’t seem to be fully covered. The texture was comfortable to wear and never tugged, but there was settling over the five hours it wore for. The formula felt hydrating to me while I wore it.

Heartache

Urban Decay Heartache Vice Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a rich, medium-dark fuchsia with subtle, cool undertones and iridescent sparkle and pearl. The texture was moderately emollient with some slip, but there was a tackiness present that helped keep it in place and not feel slippery on the lips. I could feel some of the sparkles as I applied the lipstick, but once on, I didn’t feel like it was gritty or rough. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that lasted for five hours and left a slight stain behind. I found the formula to be moisturizing while worn.

Heartache is my jam! It even reminds me of sparkly grape jam, too. Getting!

The color of Caliente is a perfect fuchsia for me. I love it, but the formula sounds just a bit slippery, like it could travel outside of where one applies it…hmm.

Exhibition makes no sense as a permanent shade. None. There is already Bittersweet, a 95% (or more) dupe! Smdh, UD.

I was thinking same thing about Bittersweet lol..sparkly grape jam? You make me wanna get it with this description! I would like a less muted Foiled Rose..trying to justify getting since I have FR already..maybe less muted is good enough, lol. Caliente..I just want it.

Kalliela Avatar

Me thinks these are exclusive to UD.com. I do not wanna pay eight dollars in shipping for two lippies! I also do not wanna sign up for shoprunner. Hmm.
