Charlotte Tilbury Secret Salma Lipstick
Charlotte Tilbury Secret Salma Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a muted, medium rosy mauve with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had mostly opaque coverage that went on evenly and smoothly. The texture was thinner and clung, but it didn’t emphasize texture like some of the other shades have. It applied evenly and lasted for four hours on me, while the formula was lightly hydrating. Bobbi Brown Cabana (P, $29.00) is darker (95% similar). Charlotte Tilbury Miranda May Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark pink-coral with warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture is thin but smoth, and it does feel a little clingy, though it was neither drying nor hydrating on me. The coverage was mostly opaque, not quite what I’d say is buildable (it’s pretty pigmented right out of the gate; hard to sheer it out without becoming very uneven). FORMULA OVERVIEW | Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) has two variations–the original, Kissing, and the matte, Matte Revolution, both of which are featured in the Hot Lips collection. The Kissing formula is supposed to be pigmented and luminous, while also being hydrating, while the Matte Revolution formula is designed to be matte, buildable, hydrating, and long-wearing in a matte finish. The Kissing range is creamier, light-medium in weight, comfortable and hydrating, and average wearing (three to five hours with most shades). The Matte Revolution formula feels velvety, thinner and somewhat clingy (I find that they can sometimes emphasize the texture of my lips or highlight imperfections), wear four to six hours, and are drying to lightly hydrating. Both formulas have a sweet, vanilla scent with no discernible taste.

Oh dear, I wasn’t planning on getting anything, but…Secret Selma looks like a rare warm rosy pink that I can pull off, and it looks lovely with that rose shade from the MAC C’est Chic palette, which I also have
Oooh, I’ll be curious if it would work for you!
Hot Emily is such a pretty color! It looks like it’s comfortable to wear, too.
It is a pretty one! 🙂
I have a lipstick addiction, and Charlotte Tilbury’s lipsticks started it – both the moisturizing K.I.S.S.I.N.G. line and as well the Matte Revolution. I’m hoping to see more swatches here of her recent additions. But for now, I’ve got my sight on that Miranda May shade!
Aww! That’s so cool that Charlotte Tilbury set of your love for lipstick!
love Salman.
Yay!
Of course I’m instantly drawn to Secret Salma, I already own MAC Mehr and Maybelline Yummy Plummy! Also Hot Emily, Vegas Volt, and *possibly* the UD Revolution version of Streak is close enough.
That said; I am less certain of owning any Miranda May dupes. It is a really nice shade, so I’m not all that sure why it’s not rep’d in my stash. Hmmm. ?
Lots and lots of dupes, haha! 😉
Could it be that it’s not a color that works for you possibly?
Possibly! Or it just reminds me of shades I used to death back when I had heavy blonde highlights in my hair.
Well. I may have to get Hot Emily just for the name. That’s not too self obsessed, right? 😉
But it all seriousness, it’s beautiful!
Haha 😉
wowww…. love them….I love Secret Salma….Looking very pretty on you as well…I think that’s one shade most skintones can easily pull off…what do you think…Will surely pick Secret Salma 🙂
I like Salma, and it looks great with the beautiful eye look you’ve created!
Thanks, Pami!
Ooh, I love Miranda May!
Yay! 🙂 The name of that one is so cute to me.
I like them all but Secret Selma is the sleeper hit for me. Mostly because it just seems versatile. I think I might prefer Mauve It or Vivien though.
Awesome! 🙂
Glad I swatched this next to MAC Mehr in Nordstrom – they looked identical to me and I already own Mehr! Glad to not feel the need to spend the extra money on this anymore! This does seem to be one of the most popular shades from this line as it seemed to be the only one my Nordstrom offered in their limited Charlotte Tilbury display and it is also part of at least one CT get-the-look kit that I know of! Not surprising Salma is one of the hottest shades!
