Zoeva After the Disco Graphic Eyes Eyeliner
Zoeva Graphic Eyes Eyeliner ($7.50 for 0.04 oz.) is introducing six new shades, plus a limited edition collector’s box of all 16 shades (plus a pencil sharpener) on March 21st. I will be reviewing all 16 shades across three posts over the next week! 🙂 This is part two (view part one here)…
Zoeva After the Disco Graphic Eyes Eyeliner ($7.50 for 0.04 oz.) is a bright, medium yellow gold with warm undertones and a metallic sheen with slight gold sparkle. It had semi-opaque coverage in one pass, and it was mostly opaque after two layers. The texture was lightly creamy, glided on well, and wore for eight hours with a bit of fall out. NARS Sunset Boulevard (P, $24.00) is less shimmery, lighter (95% similar). ColourPop Fade Away (LE, $7.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Urban Decay Cosmic Energy (LE, $22.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty Oh My Gold (102) (LE, $26.00) is more shimmery, darker, warmer (90% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty All That Glitters (P, $24.00) is lighter, cooler (90% similar). Urban Decay Goldmine (P, $22.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). MAC Kerala Sun (LE, $16.00) is lighter (90% similar). Urban Decay Goldrush (P, $22.00) is more shimmery, darker (90% similar). Sephora Sunshine (63) (P, $11.00) is less shimmery, warmer (90% similar). Fenty Beauty Trophy Wife (LE, ) is more shimmery, lighter (90% similar). MAC Atomic Ore (LE, $16.00) is less shimmery, darker, cooler (85% similar). ColourPop Gold Rush (LE, $9.00) is more shimmery, darker, warmer (85% similar). Urban Decay Stargazer (LE, $22.00) is darker, more muted, cooler (85% similar). NARS Campo de' Fiori (P, $24.00) is less shimmery, darker (80% similar). Melt Cosmetics Estrella (LE, $19.00) is darker (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
Zoeva Cool Factor Graphic Eyes Eyeliner ($7.50 for 0.04 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark blue with subtle, cool undertones and a frosted sheen. It had sheer color coverage in a single layer, and it was somewhat buildable to semi-opaque coverage. The texture had a lot of slip to it, so it tended to go on more unevenly than other shades. It wore for eight hours but had sparkle migrate over time. ColourPop Outer Space (P, $7.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). MAC Skyscape (P, $17.00) is less shimmery, lighter (85% similar). Urban Decay LSD (P, $22.00) is less shimmery, darker, cooler (85% similar). MAC Whirlpool (P, $17.00) is less shimmery, darker, warmer (80% similar). MAC Industrial (P, $15.00) is more shimmery, darker (90% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
Zoeva Good Karma Graphic Eyes Eyeliner ($7.50 for 0.04 oz.) is a medium-dark, blue-teal with gold and green sparkle. It had semi-opaque coverage but had a more stained quality to it, where there was translucency that was more even yet subdued compared to the way it looked in the pencil. The texture was sparkly, and it felt a little rough against the lower lash line. This is one of the more sparkly shades, and there is some fall out/movement of that sparkle during wear. The underlying color stayed in place for closer to eight hours. Melt Cosmetics Steel (LE, $19.00) is cooler (90% similar). Urban Decay The Night King (LE, $22.00) is cooler (90% similar). Urban Decay Junkie (DC, $22.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). MAC Take the Plunge (P, $17.00) is less shimmery, cooler (85% similar). Sephora Waterfall (DC, $10.00) is warmer (85% similar). MAC Siahi (P, $16.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty Gemstoned (P, $24.00) is more shimmery, lighter (85% similar). Sephora Waterfall (47) (P, $11.00) is lighter (85% similar). Sephora Fairytale (DC, $10.00) is warmer (85% similar). Estee Lauder Emerald Volt (P, $28.00) is warmer (80% similar). Moira Green (P, $5.00) is less shimmery, lighter, warmer (80% similar). MAC Undercurrent (P, $15.00) is darker (95% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
Zoeva Mr. Marvelous Graphic Eyes Eyeliner ($7.50 for 0.04 oz.) is a blackened purple base with a ton of cool-toned violet sparkle. It is a more glittery shade, though not noticeably gritty when applying, but the base is streakier in one stroke. I was able to layer for greater opacity, at least. The eyeliner wore nicely for eight hours with some glitter fall out/travel. Urban Decay Retrograde (P, $22.00) is more shimmery (95% similar). MAC Cobalt Kohl (LE, $21.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). Chanel Marine (30) (P, $34.00) is lighter (90% similar). Smashbox Nymph (P, $18.00) is warmer (90% similar). ColourPop Kyber Crystal (LE, ) is lighter, warmer (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
Zoeva New Jewels Graphic Eyes Eyeliner ($7.50 for 0.04 oz.) is a medium-dark purple with cool undertones and a pearly shimmer-sheen finish. It had medium coverage in one stroke, which was buildable to opaque coverage in two to three layers. The texture was lightly creamy but less emollient than about half the range. It wore well for eight hours on me before thinning. ColourPop Ho Ho (LE, $7.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). MAC Designer Purple (P, $15.00) is lighter, warmer (85% similar). FORMULA OVERVIEW | Zoeva Graphic Eyes Eyeliner ($7.50 for 0.04 oz.) is supposed to be a smooth, pigmented, long-wearing, and waterproof eyeliner. Overall, when they’re good, they’re really good, and when they’re less good, they’re still long-wearing, just less pigmented (but often buildable). The texture is very creamy, so they glide effortlessly and never tug on the lash line. The line has some more interesting shades than the standard eyeliner range, which is always nice to see. The wear varies between seven and nine hours depending on the shade.

Good Karma and Mr. Marvelous are gorgeous colors, although I can see how they would be irritating with all of that pretty sparkle.
They are pretty hues!
Cool Factor and Mr. Marvelous are the colors that appeal to me most, but the performance doesn’t. I wonder what it is about blue/violet colors that makes them so difficult to do well.
I wish they did better 🙁 Cool Factor in particular!
These are pretty, even if scores are all over the board. I like Good Karma, but I think MAC Undercurrent’s swatch looks better, the MAC one is already on my buy list for next order. The purples are pretty too, but for sparkly purples, I love my BH Cosmetics Waterproof Party Girl Gel Eyeliner in purple, dirt cheap, pigmented, smooth, and lasts +12 hrs with primer on my oily lids.
Awesome to hear how well the BH liner works for you!
I’m heavily considering the set. I really want all the pencils to do well because I really do not “need” anymore liners . So, all the liners in this set didn’t do great. But, they are gorgeous. Can they be worked with? I can handle loosing one if I must. What about primer? Does primer help liner out?
Your best bet would be to smudge powder eyeshadow on top 🙂
Ah, good idea! Christine, did these irritate your eyes at all?
Nope, but I didn’t put them on my waterline (not actively, at least!).
Ok, thanks! I’m going to the non gritty ones out on the waterline. I wear contacts. So, my eyes will water like crazy if something is gritty.
Some of these shades are very pretty, but I usually try to avoid sparkly liners because of my sensitive eyes.
Sounds like you’re not alone there, Lulle! A lot of readers are skipping because of the amount of sparkle.
I kinda like all of them but I would worry about the sparkly bits hurting my eyes.
I can understand that, Erin!
Too bad Cool Factor doesn’t retain its, uh, cool looking color. That could’ve been a beauty!
Thankful that I have better dupes for Good Karma and New Jewels. Siahi and Fairytale being perfect for me, and CP Ho Ho is divinity for a purple liner!
Mr. Marvelous looks intriguing, however….
Ha, ha, ha 😉
Ugh, why couldn’t Cool Factor have been better?! It has so much potential.
Right?!
Ugh cool factor sucks, and indeed I saw that ahead of time in the swatches but bought it anyway because it’s so freaking pretty. I also picked up new jewels, prolly have a similar dupe already (it looks a little like the MJ purple), but I can never go wrong with anything purple, especially sparkly, around my lash line.
Ah! So glad you got New Jewels and Cool Factor!! 🙂 Even if Cool Factor could be a lot better, lol.
Lots of great colors so far, but the one color I think that is a standout is also a poor performer “Cool Factor”. It is such an interesting, complex, shade.
Cool Factor really is… cool. 😉
The blue and teal colours are gorgeous, but I think having so much sparkle in them could/would irritate many eyes. In fact I think the brand is a bit silly, irresponsible? putting so much sparkle in when they know that lots of women cannot wear it…..
Sounds like an easy skip!
I think they are all very pretty, and I want almost all of them. Most of all I want Good Karma and Mr Marvelous. New Jewels is also on the really want list, hard to stay away from the purply ones.
I would probably get crazy with the shimmer going everywhere, on me that can happen, so I’ll probably not buy them.
I think it’s a good idea to skip if you have trouble with sparkly eyeliners!
