Most used product of the week: Lip balm. My lips are super-chapped from being sick this week. I only wore makeup three days this week.
Any new beauty discoveries: The Makeup Monsters Dragon Child Eyeshadow Palette is up for pre-order, and it looks amazing.
Skin Tone/Coloring:
Light neutral with green eyes and mostly dark hair
Favorite Look Worn:
My everyday usuals: Clinique Brow Shaper in Charcoaled, ABH Brow Wiz in Granite, and Tarte Shape Tape Concealer in Light Neutral. PLUS: MAC Omega Eyeshadow in the crease, Laura Mercier Amethyst Caviar Stick on the eyelid, Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara, Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup in Desert Beige, Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder, Smashbox Petal Metal Highlighter in Rosemantic (used as blush), Smashbox Petal Metal Highlighter in Gilded Rose, and Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey.
Most Used Products (aside from the everyday usuals):
Smashbox Petal Metal Highlighter in Gilded Rose (OMG I love this stuff!) and Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey
New Beauty Discoveries:
No new discoveries, but a rediscovery of an old, forgotten favorite: Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. I bought it many months ago in a moment of 1990s nostalgia, and then completely forgot about it until a few days ago when I spotted it in my drawer, still in its box. Yay! That trusty silver tube has been with me all week.
Skin tone: Very fair with cool undertones. My hair is grey and I have deep brown eyes.
Favorite look: I used the three Huda Beauty Obsessions palettes that I purchased throughout the week. I really loved all of the looks I created with the palettes but my favorite was probably the look that I used mostly the Coral palette which was surprising to me as it was the palette I thought I would like the least and would have the most difficulty using. I must give credit to Chrisitine as I used one of her suggested pairings to create the look. I used the Coral #3 eye look and added the slightly darker brown from the Mauve Obsessions palette just to darken it a little. I paired it with a Dior Cheek and Glow Instant Glow in shade 03 Pink/Coral. For lipstick I used MAC Chili just lightly tapped on the lip rather than applied opaquely. I used Marc Jacobs Highliner in Blaquer to tightline and 3 different mascara’s, LOL. I have been enjoying playing with different combinations of mascara in an effort to find my perfect mascara look. Not sure this was it but I started with a MAC sample mascara that came in my last order, Extreme 3D added Benefit Roller Lash and finished off with Cover Girl Super Sizer. I am always looking for a mascara that gives me both length and volume and while I find decent ones that satisfy each parameter separately I haven’t found one that gives me both without issues.
Most used product: I have switched to a different product within the Australia Gold 50 Sunscreen. The original product as recommended by Angie from Hot and Flashy was the tinted version and it made my skin very matte and dry appearing. I used it because it worked well under my makeup, not pilling, lifting or making my makeup move around but it just really dried out my skin. They make a non-tinted version and I picked that up and am liking it much better. It definitely has to have time to set before I start makeup application which is true for most sunscreen’s. My daughter likes the tinted one so I gave her the tube.
No new beauty finds.
My skin tone/coloring: Medium w/ olive undertones MAC NC37, Lancôme Teint Idole Foundation N360 or Fenty ProFilt’r Foundation 260, deep brunette, blue-green eyes w/ gold flecks.
Favorite look you worn: On Wednesday, my most recent ColourPop order arrived. So, of course I had to wear USLS in Felix!
For my eyes, I went with a beachy-bronzey more simple look using CP SS in Buzzin’ all through my crease, blended upwards into MAC Orb on browbone, took Buzzin’ downward over most of my lid except for mid-lid, also smoked on lower lashline. Then applied MAC Sweet Heat EDES on to mid-lid blended upwards, Twinks on outer V and smudged along lower lashline, added MAC x Padma Lakshmi Mole Brown along outer half of upper and lower lashline. For cheeks; just UD Jawbone and CP x Shayla Pose Loose Powder Highlighter. Lips: CP Felix topped with a thin coat of GA Ecstasy Laquer in Luce, and BAM!
Most used product of the week: Not sure beyond just Fenty ProFilt’r Foundation, Maybelline Full & Soft Waterproof mascara, MJ Blaquer Highliner?
Any new beauty discoveries: That as much as I loved my above mentioned lip combo, (which, btw, lasted over 7 hours!) it left my lips with all of life’s moisture sucked out of them. Chapped spots became very sore. Not sure what went wrong??
Light medium (MAC NC23/NC25) With prominent warm yellow undertones. Severely hooded warm brown/hazel eyes. Warm reddish brown curly hair.
Favorite look I wore: I have been going VERY Light!! Which is strange for me! I have been doing SPF, glowy primer from wet n wild, tinted moisturizer from bare minerals, MAC cream casual colour as a cream blush, MUG romance blush, ABH warm taupe as a contour, BECCA opal, loose powder, essence make me brow gel, Essence mascara, ELF mad for matte 1 eye shadow palette to define my crease, a mix of different cream shadows, and lastly YSL rouge pur the matts in 208 which is a bright hot pink!
Most used product of the week: hylamide hydra-density mist!! It’s a hydrating facial spray, that I use after powdering and or touching up! It hydrates my combo skin, and takes away the cakey look!!
Skintone / coloring : light, MAC NC 15 – 20, med brown hair and eyes
Favorite look worn: ABH Soft Glam palette. Orange Soda in crease. Fairy and Rose Pink on the eyelid. Rustic in outer corner. MAC Power Kohl Pencil in Raven. Chanel LE Volum Black Mascara. L.A. Girl Just Blushing blush in Just Bare. Becca Moonstone highlighter.
Most Used Product : Bare Minerals Matte Mineral Foundation. Trish McEvoy High Volume Mascara. Rimmel Soft Kohl Pencil in Brown. Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin Pressed Powder in light L.A.Girl Blushing Blush in Just Bare. ABH Brow Wiz.
New Beauty Discoveries : none
My skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Favourite look you worn: I tried to recreate that beautiful Nude Dip eye look you have worn lately Christine.
I used quite a few palettes in my stash to get the shades using your fabulous dupe list: Shade 1 from the Rebel for the lightest shade; Rose Gold from the Lorac Pro Metals palette for the rosy shade; A-Ha from the bareMinerals Soft and Smokey for the third shade and the Smoky #5 from Huda Smoky Obsessions palette. I paired it with Elizabeth Arden’s Bronze Ambition lipstick and was thrilled with the result.
Most used product of the week: Elizabeth Arden’s Bronze Ambition lipstick the most.
Any new beauty discoveries: That it’s fun to play with my stash.
My skin tone/coloring: Fair/cool
Favorite look you worn: just my basic neutral look
Most used product of the week: just my basics this week
Any new beauty discoveries: My PMG Lust Gloss Everything Kit came yesterday so I haven’t had time to indulge yet, but 14 lipglosses! I’m going to be loving the next few days for sure! I also picked up the new Smashbox Rose Gold eyeliners that I will be playing with this week as well. This put me back into the Rouge level at Sephora, not that it really means too much, the perks are not what they used to be (sigh!).
My skin tone/coloring: light to medium with warm undertones, MAC Matchmaster 1.5 + 2.0, Tom Ford Bisque
Favorite look you’ve worn: I wore this look this week and was quite pleased! I used a few things from the MAC x Padma Lakshmi collection (70s quad and lipsticks Sunset Rose and Apricot Gold).
lid: Tom Ford Azure Sea cream as base, sparkle topper patted on top or MAC Cardamom patted on top
transition: MAC Sand and Clay
crease: MAC All’s Rosy (really diffused to form a gradient)
deepen crease, outer v: MAC Pepper or Persuade (applied slightly to add dimension)
tightline, waterline: brown eyeliner
lower lashline: brown eyeliner diffused with Sand and Clay and Antiqued
Blush: MAC Moonshimmer, mostly the coral part
lips: NYX Sand Beige lipliner and MAC Sunset Rose with a little Apricot Gold added in on lower lip.
I liked how All’s Rosy acted as a backlight. The Cream Eye Color duo ended up being a light golden green shimmer much like Cardamom and I interchanged them throughout the week. The 70’s quad colors seemed odd to me but it all came together.
Most used product of the week: All of my staples!
Any new beauty discoveries: None this week
My skin tone/coloring: fair/cool skin (L’Oreal True Match C3 Creamy Natural, Urban Decay All Nighter 2.5, NARS 2.0 Mont Blanc), gray eyes, brown hair with red highlights and scattered blonde and blue strands.
Favorite look you worn: Wednesday-UD All Nighter 2.5 foundation, Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin 10 Ivory concealer, CoverGirl Clean Normal Skin 120 Creamy Natural powder, NARS Satellite of Love highlihgting blush, Kat Von D Kelly eyeshadow, Sephora V for VOLUME Turquoise League mascara (to bring out the turquoise in the shadow’s duochrome), NARS x Erdem Larkspur lipstick.
Most used product of the week: Uh, probably my concealer and powder because they never change?
Any new beauty discoveries: If you have a cold, wear red eyeshadow (if it looks good on you) and red lipstick, and preferably a red top too, as much as you can, because wearing red everywhere else distracts people from your red nose!
Skintone: NC10, warm-neutral
Favorite look you’ve worn: I’ve been loving wearing the combo of NARS blush in Luster and ABH Aurora Glow kit’s Helia or Lyra on my cheeks. So pretty and the perfect summer glow!
Most used product this week : Trying to use up UD’s Vice lipstick in Weirdo. It’s not my favorite anymore, and I’m quite close to finishing it. Also NARS Luster blush has been on my cheeks almost everyday.
New beauty discoveries: NYX Epic Ink Liner Pen is AMAZING! UD’s Perversion used to be my favorite liquid liner, but this stuff is even better! Like the brush tip is perfect and so easy to use. Oh and it stays on ?.
